I remember this game well. It's somewhere between ARMA and Call of Duty. Back in 2004 .. There was Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Men of Valor, Vietcong, Red Orchestra, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 1942, and Conflict Vietnam... Of those Med of Valor, Vietcong, Red Orchestra and ARMA were the hardest in single player by far and my vote goes to Vietcong .. In Men of Valor, the game is not a fast paced "shoot n scoot". You have to watch your ammo, stay behind cover, and make sure each gernade counts .. just like in the real thing. You will find yourself cursing certain parts ...and it will get confusing. I always thought that Men of Valor had the best explosions of any game in the 2004 era. I think it's a good game

This release is very flawed as the battles degenerate into tank vs tank only. The Cross of Iron re-release by Matrix is much better with many more fighting vehicles, infantry, support units, maps, and a much better AI and pathfinding code. Also has better sounds and textures. The Microsoft release is just too broken as infantry units become irrelevant for most battles

This game is good for nostalgia but has not really been enhanced. The controls are still early 90s and makes the game play at a slow pace. They really should have modded the interface to allow for WSAD + mouse control. This game feels like SW Dark Forces. Realms of the Haunting at least allowed for some modding of the control interface. This game needs a remake .. but there is SS2 which is better in my opinion.

This game is insanely complex but great !! It is basically a sequel to 1992s B-17 Flying Fortress: World War II Bombers in Action which taxed the crap out of my 386sx. They need B-17 Flying Fortress: World War II Bombers in Action on GOG. You can literally spend 12 hours on one mission
