The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood

Depends on your tolerance...

I have not finished the game, to be very clear. However, I did play the original demo to it's completion a while back, and have progressed a somewhat decent way past that in the game proper and as far as the game's feel and flavor, I have more than enough to make my judgement call. It's a very mixed bag, I really debeated on if this deserves a two or a three, I decided for me, based on my tolerence it's closer to three, but I thing for most people, it's going to be closer to a two. Most people that are more like me than the intended audience. The indended audience is, is young women, or just women generally really. That in mind, as a man there is quite a lot to like here still. The pixel art is fantastic. Have I seen better? I mean hard to say, but sure probably. But this is still very nice to look at if you like this kind of graphics and their art direction. I also really dig the music. Though, I do have to say, divorced from the game, on it's own it's not something I find myself wanting to listen to. But within the context of the game, it's great. It adds the perfect ambiance. It sounds good when it's not standing on it's own, and more importantly, it just feels right. Perfect for the setting and the mood. Making the cards is kind of cool. Making decising when you do a reading is kind of cool. The direction the story is going in is intreguing thus far. And while most of the characters I can take em' or leave em', Abramar, is a real treat. I love this behemoth. The tolerence I was speaking of, is to lefty progressive nonsense and yea girl power we rock whoooo. If you have little to no tolerence to that kind of thing, move along there isn't much for you here. If like me, you don't appreciate it per se, but can tolerate some amount of it, then maybe see if you can still find the demo or a video perhaps. The worst part to me is how everybody just can't stop complementing everybody. Much of the dialouge is like, your the best. No you are. Naw, it's you. Oh stop

Hunter Girls

Meh...

I wish I could give it a 2.5, that's roughly what it is to me, for what it is. What it is, is a kind of endless runner. I'm not sure if this is a bad translation, of if the weirdly choppy English is supposed to be part of it's charm. It's not enough to be mad at, but neither am I charmed by it. As you progress it seems it will add some things. You start out with a jump and a shield. Then you get a person that can fire arrows for you. I'm sure there will be at least one more character added with at least one more power. I say this because the controls are SPACE; C; and X so far. So I'm assuming Z will also get thrown into the mix at some point. It's a very old school control scheme. It's slightly annoying but for what it is, it gets the job done. If you could use a controler on it, it's be far too easy I reckon. I did find it a bit annoying that when they added the second character, you now have to factor her into your jumps because if you clear it but she doesn't, you lose. It's a time waster that I find hard to judge too harshly because while I'm fairly sure it's not really worth the $5 asking price. What can you really expect for $5? Sure, it could be cheaper, but that's not even enough to get a cheap meal anymore so, meh. I don't love it, I don't hate it. It's a time waster with sections connected by a story presented in somewhat broken English (I'm not being totally fair here, it's not that bad, just a bit... off) and some decent character sketches. It really feels like this was an excuse to show off the sketches which are decent in their own right. But would not be worth the price of admission per se. If you see it on sale for like a buck or two, then I’d feel a lot more confident in that three star. I don’t want to give it two, because for what it is, it’s fine. But it didn’t earn a three either.

Under Contract

Better than most lewd games.

That's basically it, it's a good game. The match three is done will and throws in some fun twists to keep it interesting. The story has the approprite tone, It knows what it is and it's leaning into it, for the better by my count. It's not hilarious, but some of the lines will make you chuckle. The sex, is also done well, again, better than in most lewd games. And you the game would still be pretty decent without it. Which, you can turn it off if you want. All and all this is a surprising little gem and they are still activly devloping it. So changes are it will get even better (though, I've seen it go the other way too) The one issue I'd call out is a technical one. It seems like the cut scenes and just loading in general is hard for it to do. It seems like it talkes longer than it should, and my fan starts kicking in so it's chewing up more resorces than it probably should. But it's not a major issue. I did have it glitch out on me and refuse to load whatever it was trying to load, kept getting stuck in a black screen I'd mess with the controller and it'd ask if I want to skip the cut scene, I'd say yes, but was still stuck in a black screen. When I killed the game and returned, it did not save the last two nodes I had cleared. But outside of that, it's been fine. It's worth checking out if you are into lewds games, this is one of the better examples of such.

HunieCam Studio

Better, but different than expected.

This game is strongly addicting, and it's not what it seems. It's a clicker management game. The goal if I remember correctly, is to get as many followers as you can in 21 days. You basically play the role of Andrew Tate, they could have called this Andrew Tate Simulator. Basically, you hire girls and have them work on camera for you. When they are not doing that they could be doing a photo shoot. Or they could be getting booze at the liquor store or smokes at the corner shop or stripping. They could be turning tricks, and they then get to stressed out, you have to send them to the spa. There's actually not a lot of sexual or ecchi content in the actual game. It's all in the loading screens and the marketing. The game is purely just make them do a thing, collect that resource. You do that for 21 days with the end goal I think, to get as many fans as possible for your outfit. The other kicker is, as the girls get better and make more money, you have to pay them more. If you go in the red for more that 24 straight hours, game over. I'm finding I'm accumulating the resources just fine, but the auto click is not fast enough to get them for me, nor am now, not while managing the girls. It's more than it seems. And, also less if you were getting it for the sexy sexy fun times. Unless, you get that as a reward for winning. I guess I don't know. I Picked up on GoG a while back for like a buck or two.

Torchlight

Yeah, it holds up in 2024

I picked this up a bit ago and just recently got around to playing it. What can I say, it's a good game. Now, it's not perfect. But most of the flaws I'd bring up have mostly to do with age. The art holds up surprisingly well. not well enough to totally hide the dated graphics, but only the most picky snob is going to have much an issue there. I have a tendency to accidently open up bits of the AI unintendedly. And I also somehow keep going out of window. That has not killed me yet, but it will. People talk about how this is basically Diablo, and kind of. The game play has almost the right feel. Looting, it does get that part right. It's basically Diablo II, but a little simplistic comparatively. But that's ok, sometimes that's good. Especially in my older age. The music, could basically be right out of Diablo II. And while I do enjoy both the art and the music, they don't go together. That's a bit jarring, but if you can get past that. You've got a solid hack n slash dungeon crawl looter that's a better spiritual successor to Diablo II than three ever was. (and I liked three, still stands)
