Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

Sorry, Sherry. No dice.

Not the best one, by far. Too few interactable objects, interiors, and, choices in conversation. The map is terrible, as relevant waypoints and POI's must be triggered by pinned journal entries. Huh? Yeah, you read that right. If you don't have a specific journal entry pinned, you could wander for hours, like me. Oh, and, you must be called "Sherry" for the entirety of the game by your imaginary "friend" named Jon. Frogwares, get off your high horse.

Control Ultimate Edition

Not as good as advertized

I have to wonder if all these people who've given this game great ratings and reviews have actually finished it. I can barely get through the side missions for getting new powers without raging after dying or the clock running out at least 100 times. I think it's all bs. In other words, this is a game you want to like, but, just can't get around all the problems that are preventing you from doing so.

Two Worlds II: Epic Edition

I had such high hopes

The game is fun as long as you don't have to use any skills, like, lockpicking, crafting, spellmaking, etc. And, who needs those, am I right? Everything you try to do is met with a "higher level required" message. It's like the worst features of the first Two Worlds game have been brought front and forecenter in this one. For me, it's been more aggrevating than enjoyable and I stopped playing after about 5 hours of gameplay. The crafting would have been better in this game bc you can upgrade items with raw materials instead of needing the exact same item, as in the original game. BUT, you can't acquire the needed materials, such as, wood, iron, steel, anywhere in the world and can't buy it. You have to dissasemble other items for that, but there is never enough when you need it. Also, when you gain 1 level, enemies gain 10, so, you're constantly running away from them. In other words, the gameplay never gets any easier. Upgrading skills seems to make little or no difference. Oh well, God mode it is.

Deliver Us The Moon

Not great

Oodles of timed mini-games. No thanks. Not bad otherwise, though.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Incredible

I bought this game on sale almost a year ago and finally installed it. I can't believe how good it is and I'm kicking myself now for waiting so long. I haven't experienced any bugs. Better than most open world games out there, yes, even Skyrim, and I've been playing that nonstop since release. The combat is awesome but challenging. I wish there were more mods and dlc's for this, though, but it's worth a few playthroughs in any case.

Amnesia: Rebirth

Not great

The reviews are here for a reason, people. Aggrevating. I don't really care for the story, I think it's boring. And, it's intrusive. It keeps interrupting the gameplay. Every time you have to pick up matches or oil or anything, really - BOOM! - cutscene. Want to light a candle? BOOM! Cutscene. A hanging lantern? BOOM! Cutscene. Turn a corner? BOOM! Cutscene. Since light sources are what keep your sanity, of course, this game with its lame storyline has to do something to stop you from doing that effectively. As I said, BOOM! - Cutscene. I don't think I even want to go back to this game after already making halway through. I thought the cutscenes would slowdown as the game went on. Nope. If anything, they grow more constant. Definitely not like it's predecessor, this game has me in tears, but, it has nothing to do with the storyline, as the devs intended; I'm in tears because it's aggrevating as all hell trying to get through two minutes of gameplay without the lame story stopping me from accomplishing that.

Expedition Zero

It isn't receiving the latest update

I've tried everything I can, with the only options available provided by GOG, to update this game. The current version is at 1.13 on GOG's competitor sites but stuck on 1.12 on GOG. The only way offered to troubleshoot it was through chat and I got no response from a person. I stated in the chat about what was happening with the game, then, when the chat was no help, I mentioned that. Guess what? They responded about the trouble I was having with the chat service and not the game! What is going on that a game won't update through GOG but everywhere else? And, you can't even get help. As far as I can tell, there isn't even a forum here that I can reach out to bc I keep getting redirected to the internet site and after I log in, I can't find one. It's sad bc it's not a bad game. A little tricky keeping warm at first and some of the enemies are tough especially the main one which is insta-death anyway.
