This game is kinda meh. The interface is janky and kinda buggy. The gameplay is weird and not that fun. Some of it is horribly unbalanced where you are thrown like 20 enemies at you with no respite (had to lower difficulty to minimum to pass this one). Then the final boss was a total cakewalk (on normal difficulty). Did the developers EVER actually play their own game ?. I doubt it. Some optional missions are completely bugged. Went to side temple if I remember it was supposed to be huge. Except there was no way to actually get into rest of temple so I just got the initial room with nothing in it. Complete lack of quality control in this game. It is also difficult to figure out what gear is or is not an upgrade as most it has hard to figure out stats that are not explained in-game. The crappy unintuitive interface does not help either. And we are not talking endgame stuff. We are talking about basic gear you get in first few missions. Just steal diablos approach of showing you exactly how much basic attack/defense the item would change (at beginning I just need to know if item is bad or good for me. I am not doing planning for brain surgery). But I guess this developer is not into common sense stuff (the item comparison window is also pretty useless). So to summarize I would recommend again getting this game any price. It is more headache and frustration rather than the entertainment it is supposed to be (and I would be very wary about buying from "Event Horizon" developer in the future)
This is not a strategy game. It is literally a gambling game with way too much randomness. The tutorial is woefully inadequate. I am supposed to pick a team of monsters (with some of my monsters being randomly disabled due to garrison issues). But to make strategic pick I need to know what enemies I will be facing or at least a pool of possible enemies (totally random). I don't even know the order or rooms (traps, spell, monster). This is ludicrous. I have been playing for few hours and never could figure out how to spend talent points. I have 1 apparently but the UI is so bad I cannot figure out how to spend it. The archivist says I have all these relics but I do not know how to equip any of them. The obvious of clicking on empty relic boxed in main screen does not work. This UI needs drag n drop but no the dev's went for cute and useless instead. My main boss suddenly changed his main attack power (for the worse btw especially since it no longer fit my monsters). Why did it change. Can I choose what changes and to what. Can I change it back ?. None of it is explained in game. There is a wiki but it is just a rehash of the inadequate tutorial. I do not appear to be able to see any buffs enemies have. So throw an attack and it gets absorbed by a shield I could not see. It is to the point where I just might as well take random monsters, random traps and place them randomly and have them use random skill on random target. It is about as effective as trying "strategy". This is literally a dice throwing game. 1-2 you loose, 3-4 is whatever, 5-6 you win maybe. My debufs like poison do not appear to stack but I cannot see which ones are already applied and for example all poison ones look identical (green skull) When I get a choice of mission there is no actual choice at all. What is the difference between Adventurers or Veterans missions. The mission brief is exactly identical (and also woefully inadequate). Stay away from this game it is an aggravation made manifest
The first 8 levels or so in the Varsilia in the game are amazing. After that the quests really taper off and it becomes a big grind. It feels like the game was abandoned in the 2nd half with significantly less interesting content. Still worth it at the price for the first half. Just expect to not finish it (beyond west Varsilia+East Mercia). Also the classes are not balanced. Rouge is worthless. Tank is ok but tanking is better done by companion (as they are immortal). The cleric is significantly more powerful than the rest (heals and capable nukes), with wizard being pretty decent as well.
Way too many jumping puzzles in an engine ill suited for it (isometric view with no way to judge height or distance). Even trash mobs are a puzzle with each having some invulnerability gimmick (and this is again taken to extreme on every boss). Just moving around a map is a puzzle as well usually with multi zone 50+ jumps to where you want to get to.
