I'm not really a Sid Meier fan boy, and I really didn't care for the Civilization franchise, but Alpha Centauri is hands down the greatest written game ever (11 out of 10). The game play is solid and entertaining (8 out of 10).
Sorry, my Comrades in the glorious revolution, but I can not give your game a good review because it does not succificently free the prolitariate of their chains.
I like Battletech as much as the next fanboy, but this game just doesn't do it. Good graphics. But only a 4-mech drop? It's a race to the assault mechs and the highest tonnage. No battlefield tactics. It's just a slugfest, every mission.... over and over and over again. Every mission is the same. The story freeing the queen was lame with no benefits. Being a merc company has no purpose.
Was expecting a story, should of said on the tin. Not a bad arcade, but I hate those.
Game play is OK, but poor story and plot, and for a RPG that is a critical failure.
