The systems of the game are well crafted and quickly make sense while avoiding oversimplifications. The game is also very pleasant audio-visually. Graphics are stylised but it's clear what is what and the end result is beautiful to look at (IMO), with the music it createas quite the relaxing atmosphere as you watch the people go about their business. The game does all that while still providing a challenge if you want it. The soundtrack is quite distinct and beautiful, but I suppose it's hard to avoid it getting repettitive after 15 hours of play - maybe some more variety would be helpfull, but I suppose nothing is stopping me from silencing the music and putting of some of my own. I think all in all it's a great settlement building/management experience, some things are still WIP of course, but the game is very much enjoyable already and I'm very curious where further development will take it.
Really enjoyed this one. In a nutshell I would call the game a work of interactive fiction (calling out to the IF adventure games of the 80s and 90s), as such - very creatively executed in proper modern fashion. Viewing the world through a system reminds me of Infocom's "A Mind Forever Voyaging" by Steve Meretzky. The game has a few endings, thus the player's choices matter, but maybe slightly less than the presentation and the setting would imply.
