    Description
    In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. Launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond (while keeping them alive) to explore moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system, constructing bases and space stations to expand the reach of your expedition.

    Kerbal Space Program features three gameplay modes. In Science Mode, perform space experiments to unlock new technology and advance the knowledge of Kerbalkind. In Career Mode, oversee every aspect of the space program, including construction, strategy, funding, upgrades, and more. In Sandbox, you are free to build any spacecraft you can think of, with all parts and technology in the game.

    • Build spaceships, rockets, and vehicles using any imaginable combination of parts, each with their own function that will affect the way your spacecraft behaves.

    Redshell spyware

    Developers had used Redshell software for tracking users activity (in order to "evaluate impact of their advertisement"). They have install this software together with the game without asking for permission ("opt-in"). Quotation from Redshell site: "Then logs a gamer's fingerprint when launching the game for the first time." "Red Shell logs a gamer’s fingerprint on clicking custom link. Run campaigns on Facebook, Google, Twitch, YouTube, or anywhere else." After some players searched why their computers connects to: redshell.io api.redshell.io treasuredata.com in.treasuredata.com this practise has been found. Developers have removed Redshell software after this practise has been revealed. Definition of spyware from Wikipedia: "Spyware is software that aims to gather information about a person or organization, sometimes without their knowledge, that may send such information to another entity without the consumer's consent, that asserts control over a device without the consumer's knowledge, or it may send such information to another entity with the consumer's consent, through cookies." I cannot support the game no matter how good it is just for this single reason - installing spyware.

    Unacceptable EULA changes

    Take-Two have enforced a new EULA upon this game that makes those of us who already own it legally unable to play it if we do not agree to these new, horrible rules which include such delightful phrases as "Licensor reserves the right to monitor use of the Software at any time. You may not interfere with such access control measures or attempt to disable or circumvent such security features, and if you do, the Software may not function properly. " This line in the EULA has resulted in this previously offline playable being changed to now requiring a constant internet connection, and that is merely the tip of the iceberg of this new agreement. Purchase this game at your own risk.

    No Longer Great Game It Used To Be.

    I've owned this game since version 0.22, and have sunk something like 2500 hours into it, but I'm afraid I cannot recommend this game anymore. Ever since the 1.0 release, Squad has made increasingly sketchy and greedy decisions, and has since sold the game to Take 2. Take 2 has now added the Red Shell spyware and a very heavy handed EULA to the game. Furthermore, Take 2 will be adding Steam Workshop integration in the next update, which will leave us GOG users high and dry. Until those things are removed or otherwise rectified, I would recommend you look elsewhere, as KSP is no longer the shiny bastion of DRM free gaming it used to be.

    Still full of spyware

    Chock full of spyware. After they crapped the bed with the Red Shell debacle, now they have to go on record AGAIN and inform customers that they are still using spyware that grants them personal information, soon to be available or opt out in a future patch. Save your money and your privacy. This company is a fraud.

    latest release with SPYWARE

    GOG may be DRM free, unfortuntatly but not Spyware-free. KSP is one of the games using RedShell to look at your personal information including personal information and the browser history! @GOG-Team: please remove all RedShell-infested games from the platform!
