Great game if it would stop crashing

I get 3-4 crashes before finishing any level-meaning I have to replay. And replay. And replay.... Otherwise it is fun, good looking and very much reminds me of Seven: Days Long Gone. They really need to concentrate on the crashes before all the other "minor stuff".

Prey

A great game still relevant in 2022

No crashes, glitches, stuttering-a very slick production. A top notch mixture of Shooter/RPG/Puzzler that keeps you playing long after the lights go out. I did not pull this out of the "still need to play" pile until this month but I wish I had played this years ago. I understand there is no chance of a Prey II but I suspect it would be very well received. My hat's off to the developers for a very well done game.

GreedFall

A buggy, incomplete mess.

Even at $13 I feel ripped off. Crashes, getting stuck in/behind objects, graphics are laughable, saves will not load; I could go on but you get my point. What a mess. I got to Lvl 10 and then gave up - it's not worth the crashes/aggravation. But Hey, it's your money.

SCARF

A fun game

Playing Ver. 1.01 A fun and great looking game, this doesn't have any of the frustrations the other perfection platformers have. It does lock up here and there-it also suffers from controller lag. Otherwise, it's a very enjoyable game for a weekend playthrough.

Seven: Enhanced Collector's Edition

The most fun I've had in a long time

A very long game if you explore everything and everywhere. I consider this an unknown masterpiece of the genre. If you like any top down RPGs, this is for you. Save often to prevent the occassional bug from crashing the game and losing a major portion of your progress. It's a shame there wasn't a follow-up to this game.

Disco Elysium - The Final Cut

1st rate game in every respect

What a well written story/dialogue choice game. Great art. No bugs. Very different way to advance your character. This game needs a sequel. It would be a crime (pun intended) if this was not followed up with 2.0

Tower of Time

Fun, fun, fun

This Dungeon Crawler is a blast. It seems everyone is a game critic these days. Take the reviews (including mine) w/a grain of salt. I played this in between Vaporum and The Legend of Grimrock II. It was a nice break and took me all week to play through it. Buy it on sale and you have nothing to lose but a week of your time. lol

Seven: Enhanced Edition

What a fun time-warts and all

This is an absolute blast to play-so much so I have not stopped playing it. I can overlook the laggy controls; like the character climbing every darn thing, or jumping off cliffs, or not facing the right direction. I can overlook that because this game is so much fun to play. Get it on sale and you will have no regrets.

Etherborn

Rinds me of Hob, Archaica, etc

Good game with a bit of lag in the controls (I used the XBox controller). My main gripe is the view, or lack of it. You can't rotate the view to see where you want to go. Other than these 2 minor points, it is a game well worth your time. It took me around 5 hours to play through (a few sessions when I found the time). Graphics are good, design is very cool to look at and try to figure out. I bought my copy off site but thought it was good enough to post a review on GOG. Unless you are a game design critic, just go with the flow..... :)

Legend of Grimrock

A great game!!

I can't compare this game to any other game in the genre-nor would I want to. Coming from an adventure game (point and click) background, I am surprised I enjoyed this game so much. The puzzles were a blast-the split second timed puzzles gave me some grief. But I got over it.... I wish I had played this before I played LoG2, but it didn't ruin my experience. Too bad there will not be a LoG3...we would all be better for it if the Dev's reunited for an encore. I think the only thing I was not crazy about was the keyboard layout. I had to remap a few keys and I was off to the races. I heartily recommend both games!
