One of my 3 favorite games of 2019 (I know-I'm late to the party on this one). I very much enjoyed this game. The puzzles were an absolute delight, when I wasn't pulling my hair out. Quite long and expansive in area play. I struggled with the keyboard layout for quite a while-my only real complaint about the game. But hey, it's their game, not mine. I remapped a few keys and it helped immensely. I realize this game will not be for everyone. Hell, I can't believe I played it. I'm an old adventure game nut using just P&C. This is worth paying full price for, just to support the developers. Well done, Almost Human, Ltd. On an aside, if you like this game you might also be interested in "Tower of Time" and "Vaporum". Who says Indies can't make great games?!
Started out fine. Typical question/answer modes. Where this game falls apart is in the action sequences. Utterly horrible. Thankfully I was only gouged for $20; it could have been worse. I would say, normally, wait for a $5-$8 sale but in this case just pass. Of especial mention is the dumpster fire sequence called "The Shambler." So bad I quit and uninstalled the game. Save your money for another deserving title.
I had a great time when not cursing some of the bosses. Lol. I don't want to compare the game to others-that's been done in this thread. I played through in the Combat Suit; as such I missed out on many of the upgrades I saw other folks take advantage of using other suits. The puzzles were many and great. The bosses were fun and not repetitive. I may give the game a break and then play through again using a different build/suit. This game is definitely worth your time and money.
Could be a good game but is completely BROKEN by the game saves bug. There is no excuse to releaase a game in this condition. There are suggested fixes/workarounds all over the place, unfortunately none of them work. I have no intention of playing another 4 hours just to have the same thing happen. If you don't mind playing for hours just to have your game saves disappear, go ahead and buy the game. Otherwise, save your money for a game that is not broken...
Don't let that stop you from playing this gem. Aside from a few glitches that might cause you to to reload a save point and some wonky controls in a few places, this a game is well worth your time/money. Comparatively speaking it is short, but I did not play through it in one sitting and found it long enough for my enjoyment. I played it on the PS4 Pro before it was available on GOG-I may still buy it to see how it plays/looks on my PC.
Having played 2 and 3 when they came out, I can say without reservation these are a must play for anyone who has not yet experienced the games. The fact that they will run on newer PC's is all the more reason to give them a go. Great art (for the time), puzzles galore and many areas to explore make them a box that must be checked by all adventure gamers. You will not be disappointed...
