The battles and gathering systems get boring after a while, and so does the exploration. Should have had more variety, because the writing is really good and engaging, so much so that it made me look past the gameplay flaws. Definitely buy when on sale, you'll get at least 10-12 hours out of it!
Not far into the game there's a dialogue with an asian character, and the voice actor pulls off a mocking performance of the asian accent. Truly disgusting how they approved the line and baked it into the game, it felt very racist and i cannot endorse this behavior. The writing is passable with classic mistakes like dumping info about the world in one conversation, instead of presenting it in a more creative way. Combat and movement feel very primitive, the likes of online flash games, same for the levelup perks. Not that it's a bad thing, but i would've rather had a better set of gameplay mechanics than a poor (and really sketchy) voice acting.
