Silent Hill 4: The Room

The worst Silent Hill game in the series

This game was a game developed by another studio, Konami bought it, slapped Silent Hill on it and phoned it in. Game is like forbidden siren, linear "levels" that are not connected and only one ore two are actually in Silent Hill. You can't drop items so your inventory is full of broken weapons you can't get rid of until you go back to the "room" and put it in the chest. Ghosts that are unkillable unless you have specifik items that locks them in place but there are like 4 in the whole game. The last half of the game is just an annoying escort mission with a retarded victim that will attack the unkillable while they are down and never stop so you are forced to never equip her with a weapon so the game won't break. Avoid like the plague since it's not a silent hill game and not even a good horror game.

Vampyr

Telltale garbage with lack luster rpg

This should have been a telltale game. The combat and RPG elements feels like fillers. Whatever enemy you kill you still get like 2 xp so why farm? You get the illusion of choice but don't The game practically tells you who to fall in love with and who to dislike. You need to sleep to level up and put points into skills. WHwn you wake up random people have random afflictions so you have to walk all the way over to them to give them meds. It's tedious chores and the pay off is practically nothing. Avoid at all cost if you like vampiire the masquerade-games because this tries to mimic them and fails horribly.

Death's Gambit: Afterlife

Close but no cigar

I really wanted to like this game. It gave me salt and sanctuary vibes which is very good. In the end it was very shallow, short and linear. It's an ok time killer but it's closer to the disaster Momodora but that you can actually level in this game. Good first attempt, would check out if they released a sequal or a spiritual successor to be sure.

Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight

Tedious and boring

Want an ARPG-style like salt and sanctuary with different items, armors, weapons and stats to level? Well tough luck! This is a generic platformer where you are stuck with your crappy ranged and meelee weapon fort the rest of the game. What is that? Won't it be linear and boring? of course it will! It's the worst cash-in of the 21st century! Avoid as the plague. I got bored and uninstalled this game for the PS4 after a few days. The bosses are unfair and tedious and you get no sense of accomplishment when killing a boss and less rewards for it. This is how you DON'T makes a 2D soulsborne game. Save your money, buy salt and sanctuary in stead.

Need to Know

Since release has had 16 patches

So this game has had 16 patches so far since release. Is it in development? No! Is it a beta game? No! SO how the flying f*ck can you charge this much for a buggy ass game? Besides that it has horrendous tutorials, sick trial and error due to shitty explanations what you should look for or not. Papers please is a 5, this shitty wanna-be is a 1! I feel sorry for all the poor bastards that kickstarted this piece of garbage by a team of scammers pretending to be game developers.

EARTHLOCK

Mediocre at best

This really is a bad RPG. The battles are drawn out due to enemies having to do an annoying animation before attacking. Then imagine this with 7 enemies in the same fight and a simple battle can take 5 min. The music is boring and there is no speech so be ready to read long tedious dialogues. This would be ok if the story wasn't so dull and boring just like all the characters in it. That is the ultimate failure of this RPG, having uniintresting characters... why would you care for any of them? They just like props in the background. I played this on PS4 and it lagged at times so can't really say much for the PC version but I don't see why it would lag... the graphics are horrible.

Gray Matter

Original and shrouded in mystery

I must say this is one of the best adventure games I have played for years. It has a very mystifying plot and an interesting setting surrounding the supernatural and stage magic. It was one of the few games in later years that I couldn't stop playing until I had played it all the way through. I also remember the puzzles being quite challenging but not illogical. I Strongly recommend this game if you like games like the original Gabriel Knight game.

Always Sometimes Monsters

Wasted potential

The first half seemed promising but the further down the road you start to realize just how linear the game is and how pointless a majority of your choices are. It is such a waste to put so much energy into storytelling that emits to nothing in the end. Don't play this game, you will feel empty and unfulfilled afterwards.

Redshirt

Lost potential

it's really sad because the idea and execution was great for this game. It got me also as intrigued and addicted as papers, please but fell short due too having a lack-luster ending and which ever you get really changes nothing but the text under the end picture. I wish they had the multiple and detailed endings like papers. please because as of now this game has zero replay-ability.

Stargunner

The best space shooter ever

This is the best space shooter ever. Has great gfxs, superb music and it is challenging enough to not be frustrating. Playing space shooters with the mouse is awesome, so much precision compared to when you play with a controller or keyboard. Play this! You will not be disappointed and get addicted to it just like me! ;)
