#DRIVE Rally

Don't judge it too harshly!

It's no realistic rally simulator or anything of the sort - what it is, however, is a quirky, fun arcade rally game with charming graphics. It may be lacking a few things for immersion, and it certainly doesn't do everything perfectly (co-pilots can be annoying, getting the controller to play nice too, just to name some), but it's a game that does a nice job at giving you space to have a go at cars that are clearly inspired by well known rally machines of the past. It won't be your game for 300h of gameplay, but it's a neat fit for that lazy rainy sunday afternoon or for you and your friends to compete for times when you have them around.

Clouzy!

Love matters, but it's not always enough

I had been on the fence about picking this one up for some relaxed weekend gameplay - ended up doing it. On the positive side, the game is cute and has its very own charm, and the overall cloud daycare theme is interesting. Unfortunately, that on its own does not create a masterpiece. I don't want to rate this game too low, as there was some love put into it and definitely doesn't deserve being steamrolled - being fair, however, there are a couple of not so great things that stand out: - The quests are pretty basic and repetitive, and so is exploration. Perhaps not unexpected, but worth mentioning. - Inventory management gets frustrating at times, even with upgrades, and your companion likes to get lost behind you. - There is also the fact that the game does terribly at explaining some of the things you have to do. It is hardly complex, but the tutorial bits should have been given some more focus. On the technical side, there is the occasional bug here and there, but nothing particularly worth talking about, as it doesn't really impact the experience much. Other than that, it will probably run on any so called potato without much fuss. TL;DR - It's okay on sale if you like a cutesy little environment and don't mind having to scratch your head at what to do, from time to time.
