Pillars of Eternity: Hero Edition

2 sides of view review

40 hours of gameplay 1st side: I was in a want of playing Dungeon Siege 2 (which I did 20 years ago) for a long time. Had LAN gameplay of Divinity 2 Original Sin with friends. I was RPG hyped lately, friend came and told me about Pillars. I got excited and I still am. I think the game is addictive, very nice to play, fun. I llike to read the stories the characters tell, I love the fighting system. I think the game is awesome. 2nd side: for someone who likes turn-based RPGs, Diablo, Sacred or Titan Quest / Grim Dawn, this game might feel a bit odd. It is odd, cause it is unique in few major things. It's not classic RPG where you put all skillpoints to Strength and you are unbreakable dual wielding gladiator. You should not look at the game like this = I want magician, I put points to Intellect. The game has it's own system. You have to read all the in-game descriptions before you start playing and finalising your character. BUT reading all the things IS worth it - This applies to everything in the game. Sure, 2 lvls later you won't need to read what "Mechanics skill" is, but the things the NPCs say - and sometimes they have something longer to say - are worth reading. You live the story you play in. Not just eliminating hordes of enemies. Buy DooM instead. This is one of finest RPGs.

Resident Evil Bundle

RE3 best

I 'd never remember the alternative Jill's suit if I didn't see it here in the game screenshots now. <3 RE3 best

Grim Dawn - Loyalist Pack 3

The thing

Support dev = this is good. Been said 1 000 000 times. But it actually makes a lot of sense. We won't probably get early access versions of Asterkarn, but finished product. Which is best. Tried Diablo 3, got bored in 50 minutes. Tried Diablo 2 Remaster, pushed myself to the limit and spent 5 - 10 hours there. In Grim Dawn, I spent thousands of hours, and everyday, whatever I am doing, I am randomly thinking of Grim Dawn. Not only best ARPG without a doubt, but it's already in my Hall of best games ever made. And it's not like: "Yeah, HL2 is on the 1st palce". Once you're in the Hall of something, you're unbeatable legend. Grim Dawn is legend. Titan Quest is legend

Despair: Blood Curse

A question

Tell me: Are those tits moving while you play it? BloodRayne's did. Best childhood memories

Pretty good game

Good ideas, enjoyable world. I played it after Gris and Ori, so it felt quite weird for me, somehow insufficient. Didn't finish it, started Witcher 3 or something like that. But the game really is good.

Days Gone

Perfect game

Without a doubt, Days Gone is absolute top notch. Story is TOP, gameplay is TOP. Didn't get bored in 200 hours of playing. Game mechanics work for the purpose. There are no pointless things, no fancy shit just show to gamers: "Hey look, we can do this in the game". The whole game just works perfectly and fits. It's 3rd prsn open world, cannot be compared to AC, GTA or so... it is kind of a genere itself. Like Mad Max was. Simply put: A perfect game. Just perfect. Doesn't force you to endlesly grind around the map, spending hours looking for secrets like RDR2. no stupid mission like: "Hey there is this ultra hardcore boss" when you have to painfully find out how to kill him, dying 50 times. nothing like that. really extraordinary, civilised, one-of-a-kind game. One of my most favorites, if not most favorite Open world. Yeah, pleayed WTCHR 3 and all the ACs and others.

Excited about this

Won't compare it to FEAR much, cause it feels like it's kinda different game. Played only less than hour on the day it came out - here's my super interresting thoughts: Pros: Action, it's brutal, quick, no boring intros etc. You can carry 2 guns = super OK, cause you will probably change them anyway every 10 minutes. (You don't need to carry 6 machine guns and RPG in your pocket) It's dark and exciting and lively. Cons: When you play on Rage Mode (the hardest one), you get 2-3 shots and you're done. When you are close enough you can only get 1 shot (♫♪♫♪) and be Pepsi. Which is SUPER fine and I like it - but the enemies still need to get more hits than you to die, which pisses me off for decades in games. If it was "You get 1 - I get 1" it would be super. HUGE CONS: You cannot set sprint on "toggle". So you have to hold it - which is idiotic if you need to use 2 more buttons for moving, another button for doing slide (Lctlr / LAlt or what you set), another button for these specials like invisibility or SlowMo when you're in action - which you're constantly. SO you have all 4 fingers occupied all the time + thumbing "Space" all the time = your hand hurts after 10 minutes of playing. If sprint would be like "hit the button and just run till you stop", I'd be happy. Minor - even smaller- cons: The game engine - moving around, environment reactions, interactions and melee etc. - feels like in a game from year 2008 / 2010. Not compaining, just saying. Even the smalles con: Graphics are sometimes weird and blurry. And textures are sometimes odd - expecially in Air-vents. Wrapping it up - IT IS AWESOME GAME. Giving it 10/10, cause it is fun, action and brutal = that is what it is supposed to be = it serves its purpose. Screw "cons", they don't affect the actual gameplay, so... 10/10
