One of my favorite games to play while watching tv or a movie. Runs great on handheld devices like the legion go. I do get a bug every once in a while which makes it so I can't finish my turn but luckily the game auto saves and if I restart the game I can continue back from that level. Overall a lot of fun to be had. The different playable characters helps to add a good amount of replayability. The level size is perfect so you don't have a bunch of empty turns, and enough variety in enemies to keep it interesting. Definitely worth a purchase.

Love the first game, universe, the style, and the story. I like me some top-down action as well, so the mix of all of it makes it so sweet in the best of ways in this sequel. I wish they would bring the first game to GOG, but until then this will certainly do. EDIT: I have about 7 hours into the game at this point and honestly I am really enjoying it. It has the Children of Morta feel where you still unlocked story and improvements as you go even when you don't beat a level. Still keeps the same atmosphere as the first game, for the most part. It's obviously a little more action oriented which I personally enjoy but my gf was upset about (as she LOVED the first game). I love the sound effects and the art style the gameplay feels very snappy and nice. My only complaint if you even want to call it that, is you fight the bosses in the same order and the same bosses every run (could change after you beat the game). But really the item building system is fun, gameplay is fun, sounds are great, atmosphere is great. I would gladly pay full price for this game but if you see it on sale (on release it's 45% off) GRAB IT!

Game is fantastic, visuals are fantastic, sound design is pretty great as well. I've never played any of the HOMM games so I cannot compare them but this is a very solid experience. I love that this game is usable with a controller. I can lay in bed and play it on my Legion Go and it runs great.

Overall pretty fun game. Oddly enough i found the first level to be the hardest. Took me probably 6-7 times to beat it on normal and I had to use the cheater stone. The next two levels (only other two available at this point) were much easier. I beat both almost immediately on normal with no cheater stone. I do enjoy the way the god skill system is set up. I'm very interested to see how this game expands, I would recommend.

In the beginning I was not impressed but the game definitely grew on me. Personally I skip all of the dialogue, I'm not saying it's bad or anything I just don't play this type of a game for the story normally. So commenting only on the gameplay: the loop is fun, graphics are nice, game runs smoothly on the legion go, and I'm finding the upgrade system rather enjoyable.

I usually play this local co-op with my girlfriend. We have a blast, even after death the game helps move the story forward and always keeps it interesting. The little dlcs add to the fun. While this game can be challenging it's extremely fun to play even with people of differing skill levels.
