Overall pretty fun game. Oddly enough i found the first level to be the hardest. Took me probably 6-7 times to beat it on normal and I had to use the cheater stone. The next two levels (only other two available at this point) were much easier. I beat both almost immediately on normal with no cheater stone. I do enjoy the way the god skill system is set up. I'm very interested to see how this game expands, I would recommend.
Keeps bringing you back for one last try. Can be real hard if you set up manual attack, for you masochists out there. Progression is fair enough, except for the weapons.
I've tried a couple of bullet heaven / survivors-like / rogue-like games. Most of them are bland.
Jotunnslayer actually has awesome graphics and multiple levels. Fun progression. And I love that the setting is norse mythology. It's the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation.
But like the other reviewer said, you need 6-7 tries to finish the first level on normal. Then it gets easier.
One critique is that the graphics are a bit dark, desaturated and unfocused. You can fix than by installing Reshade and adding sharpness, exposure and vibrance.
The idea has been executed to the point... A true Viking mythology based game with many potentials.... Soundtrack absoloutely fantastic. Models and animation obvisously would not say brith taking but they are up there. Skill....they deliver what you would expect. I want to sit down, ignore life and finish this game, not now but yesterday.
But.....
So many crashes....upon many crashes. At least on my system. But I have to say I play more demanding games and there from none to on crash in a month.... This game for now crashes like a minute. Do not get discourage though. I am sure in the future this will get fixed.
Until then....Slay Ever Moth... Fracker Again and Again and Again....
I wish for more gory and bloody stuff though...but that's just me
(Please excuse my mistakes)
