I don't speak German. On the installation screen I selected English. All the options are in German. I gave two stars, who knows maybe the game has promise. Asking for a refund.
So far the game has locked up twice on me. The first time when I was grabbing some healing potions, not far from where you start. The second time was after getting off the lift. Both times I had to restart the computer. Game looks great, it just doesn't work on my computer.
I picked up Colony Ship when it first came out. Since that time there has been several updates. What was once flawed gem, has become a precious jewel. If you liked AOD or Dungeon Rats, then Colony Ship won't disappoint you. At first the game was insanely hard; some encounters would take many reruns. I am an ancient gamer, late 70's, hence the name Oldgrizz. There's an old saying if you don't succeed, try, try again. The latest update has two modes of play Hero, which makes a once difficult game a lot easier to play. But you can still die. The other mode is Underdog, which is the opposite of Hero. There are also multiple ways to solve certain situations, some change the course of the game. Looking forward to the next update.
I was surprised how good this game is, considering it's still in early development. It take a little while getting used to using the WASD keys for movement. So far haven't encountered any bugs. Looking forward for next patch and final release.
