Chaos Reborn

Indie, very well executed gem

Its simple, clean, easy to play and hard to win. It is amazing. Julian Gollop did great work with his team and delivered indie gem, which few play or knows. There were some flaws when it was released, but developers worked the whole time and right now it is very well polished. Even people who were bothered by the RNG style of the game, can now be quiet. Because the game support even regular "tbs" style game with HP and stuff. I must say, I kinda hate RNG in pc games now (liked it in TBT games), but this game just nailed it and its the most fun way to play the game. Once you get into it and understand the risk managment, you will be well rewarded. Also the community in the game is very nice, it is small, but I enjoyed playing co-op and against ppl.

Age of Wonders 3 Deluxe Edition

Year after, still the best 4x to me

After a year of playing this game... I can still say it is amazing and I love it. the Devs are awesome. Patching + new content (2 expansions) which are great. To me it is the best 4x strategy game nowadays. - Great gameplay - Love the graphics (combat graphics could be more detailed and it have some UI issues, but thats fine) - love the fact its briefly inspired by Lyonesse trilogy (Suldrun's garden) - hundreds of hours of gameplay (pretty scenarios are hardcore) - Great soundtrack - I don't care about that DRM...its basically pointless how they've done it. You have to play online either way so they should get rid of it now. Some people will say Endless legend is better... I didnt like that one much. Mostly because I dont like those overdesigned graphics and UI, which looks uber cool on screenshots, but in the game It distracted me often (basicaly graphics in style of intro credits from GOT). Both games are probably great, but I like AOW3 more.
