I've waited for this game to show up on GOG but never actually thought it would. When I saw it on the front page yesterday I instapurchased it. Up until yesterday I knew not much about it other than it was basically a shooter side-scroller similar to Contra. When I started playing instantly I was hooked. The action is gritty and fierce and it gets so crazy. If you're looking for a good side-scroller this is definitely it! Broforce is one of those rare games that are legitimately fun, you'll have much fun while playing it especially if you're a fan of 80s/90s action movies. Also there's coop and VS mode to keep you busy, ontop of a Campaign editor to make your own (one of the main reasons I bought this). I bought it on sale but would certainly pay full price, it's worth it.
I bought this for a buddy and I on the website a couple months ago. Never have I been into rouge-likes, they always seem tedious and boring, but this game changed my perception of them. The point of Barony is to see how far you can go before you die. And you will die.... . . . . .allot. Just when you find that badass ring, fully geared, ready for anything: WHACK! A boulder smashes you into oblivion. This game is not for the meek. There is no saving, only a scoreboard. If you can gather a party of people (even just a buddy) you'll feel like you're about to embark on a grand D&D-style adventure, or something, with out the Turns. It's fantastic! Sometimes it can also be down right scary. The fear of permadeath creeps up your spine once you hear "My Minotaur's hungry." This is your cue to GTFO of the level before you're chased by a huge bull smashing through walls! Literally! I give this game a 10/10. One of the best rouge-likes not many have heard about.
Apparently they're planning to add more factions. If you're a fan of Tib Sun, RA1/2, Westwood studios, buy this game immediately. It's a no bullshit RTS that's very simple to get into with allot of wiggle room to practice different strategies. I don't know why the one guy's bitching up there about Multiplayer because having to use GOG galaxy isn't any different than in the old days of using a cd key, so it's a moot point. You can still play Skrimish and Campaign with a challenging A.I.
