I played mafia 2 way back and was impressed immensly by the gameplay and the storytelling, its like your playing a movie with shooting and driving segments. Coming back to it, I realised that it still holds up graphically and storywise, I think the shooting segments feels a little outdated and somewhat confined, but it doesnt really take away from how great this game is still to this day. This is a great game for anyone who likes cover shooters, driving around and is into gangster movies. That being said I think that the definitive edition is not really worth it, it runs well on both console and pc if you have a good rig, but the improvements are in my opinion not worth 40 gb compared to the original game being 8gb, huge dealbreaker in my opinion when the game already looks really good. This game didnt need a remaster, atleast not the remaster we got.
Might and magic 9 suffers tremendesly from being an unfinished product. Compared to the old games it falls short, but for what it is Id say it is still an entertaining game. It feels and plays somewhat differently than the previous installments due to the 3d engine, dungeon design is really cool and the ridicolous humor in the game is sort of funny. However all the areas you visit feel sort of barren, bland and not very detailed, it is prone to crashing occationally and the voice acting is either often comical or very subpar to name a few issues I had with the game. So if you can look past its flaws and shortcomings Id say it is not a bad game, just feels a bit underdeveloped, so the question is if its really worth your time. I got alot of entertainment out of it, but I cant recommend it over some other might and magic games Ive played.
One of the alltime greats, when I saw this game was available on GOG, I had to get it.
Had the game for some time but never got around to play it. Started playing in the current version and had a lot of fun. Even though it isnt finished, its a very well functioning game for what it is. Tried similiar games before, but this game seems the most interesting concept for a zombie game. Just really entertaining and addicting, very customizable aswell. Would recommend if you can tolerate playing an unfinished product. Well worth 15 bucks, considering how much game time it has to offer.
