I waited for the whole game including all dlcs being on sale. After waiting for several years(?) I now bought it. I did this because I started playing old "Theme Hospital". It was nice back then but I figured out that some games just require reboots. (good reboots) Two Point Hospital seems to me like a clone of the original. The mechanics, the devices etc. everything seems to fit perfectly. I did not finish the game but I already got several hospitals on full stars. Pros: + graphics are very good and details are well done + dlcs add a ton of decoration stuff and some useful addons (you can even have different themes for each room) + micromanagement is on a good level (not too much and not too simple) + a lot of missions with different difficulties + the moderator of the radio is very good (playing it on german) Cons: - there is one bug which is annoying: creating a template requires you to enter a name ... but pressing numbers also open dialogs so you have to close them all the time Funny, I can not find more negative stuff about that game. Get it on sale with all DLCs and you are fine.

I only play this type of games in single player for the story. So ... the idea with the islands is pretty good and the ressources are somehow balanced. But still the building pattern was always the same. Each mission felt more or less the same. There were some exceptions like the one where we had to fly with only one single island. The graphics are good enough I would say. The unit management could be better. Sometimes you do not have a good overview of all your units and their equipment. The story was pretty lame to play and I think the correct order of playing this is to play each mission for each race. So first you play first mission for all races then the second one. I did it like in all games: I choosed first faction and played all missions (1-5). This way there were massive jumps in the storyline etc. Similar to HoMaM 6 (or 7?) I think. Where you have to pick the correct order of missions by yourself. I played last missions in full speed mode on easy. Else I wouldn't be able to finish this game.

I think the art and the story is the best thing about that game. It is pretty similar to FTL but in my opinion was not that much of a fun. But I liked the story very well. Some wrote that it has an open end etc. nah ... I think everything is explained well. I played it on easy because I was interested in story and not really in fights. Less cool weapons would have been nicer ... some of them seem to do nothing like the repair thing and the tesla(?) field generator ... it barely repairs anything and the field generator does not do that much of damage. What destroyed the immersion most was the fact that the same "event" in the game appeared too close to each other. In "sector 1" I had to make a decision and in "sector 2" the exact same event happened. Was somehow strange. Especially if you progress in story and your "npcs" should know about the event and its meaning. But as the rating indicates. It is a decent game. Not a bad but not outstanding.

Others have already said it: the setting and style is pretty good but these random events and all the stuff around it makes it soooo random. I lost every game on easy up till now. I had a good start (just because of good dice values). But then: one guy rolls a lot of 6 and yeah 6 = injury => he dies. Next turn: you have only 3 guys and damage for full hull points (the whole bar was red). Values for repair: 27 etc. Impossible to win. Too much luck is included in this game. Think will not buy anything like this ever again. Makes no fun.
