eppure divertente. Un gioco dove la strategia è al primo posto. Ci sono vari tipi di classi dei personaggi, armi, mod per armi, attrezzature, e le varie combinazioni di essi portano a risultati diversi generando ogni volta un esperienza nuova. E' molto facile far morire tutto il team e bisogna pianificare bene ogni mossa. Un gioco ideale se si ha necesità di fare piccole partite anche di 30 minuti. Non metto 5 stelle perché a volte i testi da leggere scompaiono troppo in fretta e non si fa in tempo a leggerli, perdendo parte del divertimento o in alcuni casi non riuscire a conoscere delle meccaniche di gioco necessarie per la strategia.
The feelings and atmosphere of the original game can be tasted under the surface of a "new" graphic look. This is only a demo, but features like keybindings, settings, etc. are mandatory for a good product; these are missing here: keybindigs don't works, you can only change the music volume, but every time it resets to 100% (wich is ear breaking). Controls: the controls in game feels slow, like every input is processed half a second after the key is pressed. Some controls of the GUI are interactable only by mouse and others only by keyboard. For example in the dialogue you can't use the keyboard to select dialog choices. I haven't understood how to put the torch back in the inventory as of now, every time an action is performed, the torch is trown on the ground and you risk to forget where you left it. Interface: is very old style (still newer than gothic 1) and I noticed that in the ESC menu the game is still running in background (so no pause?!). The inventory is difficult to manage (still a better experience than gothic 1, but not up to the modern standards). On the contrary the journal management/logic is well done. Combat: I remember the scavengers being a "no-no" at the beginning of the story when the character has no skill in combat, but now they are like little puppies and I killed 3 of them at the same time with a rusty sword; but at the same time an NPC killed me in 2 hits with me not being able to react. So the difficulty level seems a little over the place. (hopefully this behavior is only connected to the quest design) For now this seem to be an half good remake. I hope in the final version they have solved all of the issues, because in general it feels like this game has potential and I would love to play it.
It's easy to play in multiplayer: there are a multitude of options to set as you like and in 5 minutes I've created a multiplayer dedicated server that was working! This is not a thing mordern developers do often. Thank you The Indie Stone. As for the game, it's still in development but at this stage is better than most AAA released games. You have infinite flexibility when it comes to character creation, and the abilities with buffs and debuffs really make for a different experience during the gameplay. The graphics is not ultra realistic RTX ON, but who need this? This game is all about having fun playing it, the things you can do in game are amazing: driving vehicles, building your base, cook your food (and the quality of it matter). And there are tons of mods out there to try for extended gameplays. 1 negative side is that most mods are available through Steam Workshop so to ddownload them is a little of a hassle. If you haven't played it yet, it's worth the full price.
But most of the enemies is scripted. The zone is fantastic but I feel kind of cheated. The Enemies know exactly where I am the moment I pass a cerrtain area, and there is nothing I can do, I can totally feel where the trigger is, 1cm before you can jump and run, and nothing, they are still patrolling, then you crouuch and try to move stealthy, but when you pass that trigger they instantly turn to you. I hope this is something that will be solved with the next patch, because is very frustrating. This really ruin the experience. Another thing is: I can't find where to see my hungry level like in the first STALKER, or at least I don't see it. Optimization whise is good, I play with a 2060 and I have little to no lag. With this problems solved this could be the best game of the year.
