Hands of Necromancy II

Old school done right!

Pure old school FPS fun. I rarely buy games on release day, but I was waiting for this after playing the first game twice. The level design and gameplay are again top notch. Also really love the variety added by the second character and all the new weapons. TLDR: If you liked Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, you will absolutely adore this game.

Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game

They don't make them like this anymore

It's a classic cRPG which is a very rare breed these days. If you liked the original Fallout games, Arcanum, Atom RPG and so on - you will truly enjoy this gem as well. Beware - it's hard even on normal!

Inquisitor

Vibes check out

If you want to experience a medieval religious themed detective whilst battling hosts of evil - this is a great game to get those vibes. Note that this game has lots of dialogue as well as lots of combat so it can be enjoyed by audiences seeking either. I actually enjoyed both though the combat can feel repetitive at times. Exploring the villages and cities (there are several) throughout the game was really highly enjoyable, however. The game was made by a Czech team so the medieval and Catholic vibes are quite accurately recreated and mold very well with the fantasy elements. Technical note: If dialogue text is too small for you, and you have a Radeon card (not sure how it is with Nvidia) try various 'super resolution' settings - they work absolutely great and I found the game to be 100% technically reliable and enjoyable.

The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales

A unique game

The game is story based and is creatively made. It is a concept-exploration game in my opinion - my favorite "genre". The only downside is subjectively I could feel the game is made by a small studio - particularly in some lack of polish of in-game settings, performance optimizations and graphics implementation (art design is flawless).

Primordia

adventure game with a soul

If you love adventure games for their atmosphere - this game has it covered completely. It has its own unique setting, excellent music, great landscapes, perfect voice acting. Definitely a favorite.

Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG

mud covered gem; just wash it with time.

I don't know how it was before, but right now it is definitely worth more than 3 star rating. Anyone who loved Atom RPG or Underrail will love this too. People complain it is being developed for so long but that only makes it better. Wait until September for full release, then it will be a wonderful experience. It is wonderful now already though, in 2021 July!

Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods Enhanced Edition

Doesnt add anything new to the franchise

The enhanced edition barely makes the game playable. The biggest problem in my opinion is that the original game was 3x in size compared to this EXPANSION. Just look at the map of this game and compare it to Gothic 3. The second major problem: The community was already complaining about Gothic 3 generic worldbuilding, repetitive quest and hasted design. Well, Forsaken Gods makes Gothic 3 look like a rare piece of art in comparison! Simply avoid it. Even if you liked Gothic 1-3 and would just like ANY additional content - skip it. It will only make you annoyed. Instead, try Risen 1 or mods for Gothic 1-3.

Supreme Ruler 2020 Gold Edition

mods

Supreme Ruler: Ultimate is the game you want instead of this one. However, this one is still very good, especially with mods! The negative reviews are a bit too harsh on the game. Yes, it is a bit difficult, but it is a niche game and meant to be that way.

Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt: The Seaside Empire

nice addition to the genre

The genre is a bit dryed out so it's good to have something new. Just wish there would be a Linux version and hopefuly the game will get more expanded and updated with time.
