A slow, detailed, classic isometric RPG. It is something between Age of Decadence and Atom RPG. Definitely a worthy buy for the fans of the genre. Gameplay is very enjoyable. I am really fond of the graphics, too. The only downside is perhaps a little uninspiring soundtrack, although it too, grows on you and fits the atmosphere.
This is a truly quality game. Many choices, LOTS of optional dialogue and quests and just small details that really help the immersion (which is everything!). I love it that there is not a single character I found who wouldn't have its own story and portrait. I just love playing this slowly. It is of the same or similar quality as Fallout 1 and 2 - which means, it's a masterpiece! In my personal opinion, this game is better than Wasteland 2 because Atom is more immersive (And serious, although not in any gloomy way). Just my opinion. I'm really broke right now and can't afford this game, but I will definitely buy it once it's on discount. Even though I believe even at its full price it is SUPER cheap. So much content and love for mere 15 bucks. I wish I could buy it immediately, but it is what it is. I also have to mention there are lots of really realistic details from the soviet era in this game. From small details like condensed milk tin can (exactly like it was back then) to subtle details such as very soviet-like old-people's characters (shy/closed, but good heart pouring out). I recognize these as I am from eastern europe. Well done developers! A must have for anyone who loved the classic isometric RPGs and any fan of good story and immersion.
Game that makes you want to know what happens next! The story is truly great, particularly because of the world-telling and the superb twists. The atmosphere is inspiringly great through good voice acting, background sound effects and especially the drawing style and attention to detail. Bought the rest of the games of this developer after just finishing this.
This game is a unique one. I won't repeat too much of what the others had said but those in-game talking ghosts are really nice. The atmosphere of the game is well done. I think it makes the game a rather interesting one to just jump in, run around, shoot-some-things and explore a bit. Definitely worth it to most players at 2$. I remember it was a little scary and uncomfortable when I was a child, to play, but even now it has a certain aura of coldness which can be appreciated for some time.
I want the original Planescape game which is now gone from GOG. I don't want this version that was added to my games library in its stead. I will file for a refund if possible, this is not the game I paid for. Beamdog makes some good technical changes but they don't really understand these games that they're touching and it's really sad.
