Like most "historical" video games Expeditions: Rome is filled with historical inaccuracies and revisionism. Examples include: -Female warriors and generals. -Black Romans. -Cross-dressing women spies. -A pro gay and pro race-mixing roman society. My favorite part of the game was helping Julius Caesar get his diary back from a mean bully, I'm not kidding that's one of the first companion quests in the game. One of the women who witnessed the mean bully's actions commented that he must have a small Johnson. Yep that's the level of writing that this game consists of. Woke tripe meant to make snowflakes feel better about history. It goes without saying that you should avoid this garbage.
Anita was brought in to redesign the game from the ground up to be more "inclusive." Which meant turning Corvo into a cuck and pushing anti-white messages. It goes without saying that there's a huge helping of feminist whinging as well. Just ignore the sequels and stick to the original game.
Just like the first game that was altered for "modern sensibilities" it seems the sequel was also butchered. I can't say I'm surprised. The devs cut a side mission that includes a story revolving around a man wanting to have a sex change. I imagine the devs were terrified that Twitter would be upset over the fact that this story didn't have a happy ending and would rile up the cancellation mob. To avoid this the the devs cucked out and removed the quest in question. What's even more pathetic and deceitful is that the game hosts a startup screen claiming that nothing was changed from the original. Lying to your customers to pander to an agenda is low that unfortunately many have sunk to in recent years. Do yourself a favor and emulate the original and also blacklist the devs and company who chose to lie to paying customers.
Written by tribesmen Ken Levine Bioshock Infinite takes us on a twelve hour journey where he completely lies about American history, misrepresents the founding fathers, and mocks Christianity. The entire game is set up to criticize/demonize early America as well as white culture. Once you realize this it will make perfect sense to why journos salivated over the game when it was released. Unless you are a self-flagellating liberal or a bigot I'd stay far away from this hateful game. P.S. A very woke and cringe game all in all, sadly a reflection of the video game industry as a whole.
They butchered Lara by changing her backstory into being an abuse survivor and giving her the personality of a plank of wood. This is fitting since her body type is just as flat now. No puzzle solving or god forbid tomb raiding to be found here, just teen melodrama with a dash of quick time events. Unfortunately this trend continues in the reboot trilogy with each new iteration adopting more woke talking points and even worse story telling. Do yourself a favor and just play the original games where Lara was a based and hot MC.
First off the combat is clunky, animations are off and their isn't much satisfaction in defeating enemies. Funny enough I would say that in many ways the gameplay feels like a piranha bytes game like Elex or gothic. That isn't the worst thing about the game though, the cringe left-wing agenda pushing is what really ruins Vampyr. If you've paid attention to DontNod in the past then you know that they suffer from a terminal case of TDS and wokism. That illness manifests throughout the narrative of Vampyr. For example your main love interest is a self proclaimed feminist who often provides commentary on what you do and should think. She's very angry that there's a group of rich men who have created a private club for men only in London. She wants you to destroy this club by any means necessary because of "sexism." Bear in mind that she's an elite herself and could very easily create her own exclusive club for women. Remember dear gamer we must defeat the evil men! They are the real problem! This same love interest has an adopted black daughter named Charlotte who is a suffragette. You find her protesting gender equality on the streets of London at night... during a plague that's killed thousands. Yeah... I don't think I need to tell you how ridiculous that is. Also I should mention that you pretty much have to acknowledge her every time you go to the district she's in given how she's always yelling various talking points into your eardrum as you run by. Then last but not least there's a rich and influential man in London who acts as a insert for Trump. He looks similar and is campaigning for the idea of building a wall around the plague districts to quarantine the sick. To anyone who is not a seething irrational liberal this appears to be a good idea. Alas your love interest says that walls are racist and hurt people so we are encouraged to kill the Trump stand-in instead. I think by now you've got the gist of it and know why you shouldn't purchase this game.
