Woke garbage.

One of the OG's in the vein of walking sims filled with progressive nonsense made by activists to indoctrinate people into their cult.

GreedFall

Choices don't matter

Despite being advertised as an RPG the only choice that affects the story in any way is the final one you make in the last five minutes of the game. The combat is also pretty dull with magic being useless and limited to a handful of spells. There's also the bog standard wokeness that's found in many games these days such as gay characters, white people bad themes, and twisting historical events to push an agenda. All in all I'd suggest avoiding this slop.

The Great Rebellion

Finally a based game makes it to Gog

It's always nice to see an openly right-wing dev release a game. They frequently have to deal with mass censorship, threats, and deplatforming from leftists just for existing. Anyone who publicly stands up to such hatred deserves respect and support in my book. Regarding the game itself The Great Rebellion is an excellent addition to the rougelike genre with it's excellent art, solid soundtrack, hilarious bosses, and biting commentary on progressive politics. The controls feel great, especially mouse aiming. The only critique I have is that I wish there was more of it. Also you might want to make a backup of this game and put it someplace safe after purchasing. Something tells me GoG might de-list the game at some point given how woke they are these days. Heck Germany just banned it from the entire country lol!

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition Deluxe

Bethesda's last great game.

I'd say what makes Oblivion shine is that it has the most interesting quests of any Elder Scrolls game. Each faction is going through their own problems like the Mages guild with the necromancy problem, the dark brotherhood has a traitor that must be rooted out, the arena is about glory through fighting, etc. Everywhere you go there's something interesting to do. Buy a house in Anvil only to discover it's haunted? Well now you have to conduct a seance. Take a nap in an inn that doubles as an anchored ship? You'll wake up to discover pirates have hijacked the boat and you're now at sea! The game just drips charm. The leveling system is far superior to Skyrim as well. In Skyrim each time you level up the only thing you do is pick a perk and whether you want ten points in health, stamina, or mana. Very basic and boring. In Oblivion you have the standard attributes seen in many D&D inspired RPG's such as strength, endurance, speed, etc. If you have high strength you hit harder with melee weapons, if you have high willpower you regenerate mana faster, and so on. This means in Oblivion you get to have an actual build and there are classes unlike Skyrim. Even more impressive is that your choice of race and sex affect your starting attributes which is something very taboo in today's progressive climate. Some races are more intelligent then others, some are more agile, some are better attuned to magic. Females have less physical strength then males. What crazy ideas right? So yeah needless to say I'd recommend Oblivion if you're interested in a great fantasy RPG with cool lore and fun quests. As with all Bethesda games I'd highly recommend checking the essential improvements section of the pcgamingwiki site for the necessary patches and mods. There's only a few and the vanilla experience still trumps the majority of RPG's released in the past decade.

Spec Ops: The Line

Overrated and pretentious.

Gameplay is fairly subpar but the reason the game is praised at all is because of the anti-war propaganda aspect which is pretty ham-fisted honestly. It's done much like the Last of Us 2 where you are forced to kill someone to advance the plot and given no choice but to do so. After doing what the game orders you to do it then proceeds to lecture you on how you are a terrible person. Even in particular scenes where you are forced to act in self defense against people trying to kill your fellow soldiers this kind of message is pushed. Overall it's pretty crap story telling and a pathetic attempt to manipulate the player but apparently this kind of thing works wonders on normies who just consume media without thinking and redditors who hate America. It's interesting how the writers were so willing to address the horrors of war but there's no mention of any atrocities committed by Arabs or the elites in Dubai where the game takes place. They especially wouldn't address anything a certain illegitimate state in the middle east does that would be considered inhumane. It seems only America and the people who serve her can be criticized and no one else. I wonder why that is?

Divinity 2: Developer's Cut

Larian's greatest work.

Positives: You are encouraged to mix and match skills with no requirement to stick to a specific class. Most of the skills stay viable in late game and harder difficulties, Lots of secrets to find. The game really rewards exploration and the player who talks to everyone. Lock-picking is very useful unlike many RPGs where it's not worth the investment. Great lore and world-building. The writing is witty and amusing throughout the entire game. Lots of side quests that are just as fun as the main story. Negatives: Difficulty spikes that will no doubt filter most people. There's no real way around them aside from saving often and making sure you do all quests in an area before moving on so you will be higher level. When you reach these sections try drawing enemies away from packs either by using a bow or magic to pick them off one by one for a easier time. You need to install blankname's Div2Patcher to fix the frame-rate issues and bugs. Check pcgamingwiki for the link to said fix. After installing I personally had a perfect experience playing the game but this may vary for some users. Out of all the middleware RPGs I'd say this is the best imo. More fun then Two Worlds or Gothic and it's on sale fairly often so I think it's worth trying out if you like the genre. It's a shame that we never got a real sequel as this game is far better then the turn-based sodomy simulators that Larian went on to create. ESG really ruined that studio but hey what can you do?
