Might and Magic 6, 7, and 8 are all fantastic. Unfortunately the GOG version will no longer run on my computer, which meets or exceeds all system requirments. Neither do the Heroes of Might and Magic series, of which HoMM 3 is fantastic. Only about half of the games I've purchased from GOG will even start, the rest crash before opening. Too many updates and changes. I don't want Discover. I want to get use of the games I paid for because that's why I paid for them. I don't want to spend a week jumping through hoops with customer service EVERY time I get a new computer for every game I really want to play. My apologies if this review breaks GOG's guidelines. I tried to check them but that page wouldn't load either.
This is the 1st RPG I ever played and it about ruined all the rest for me. I haven't gotten hours and hours of replay enjoyment, more like months and months. Along the way I've used most of the mods, I especially like the current one that packages MM6-7-8 together into 1 game. If you've never played MM7 then I am srsly jealous of you, you're in for such a treat.
I first played Disciples 2 years ago, disc version, and absolutely love it. Unfortunately, the GoG version won't play on my laptop without major manual interventions. I've already tried 2 fixes officially recommended by GoG, result: No Luck, sorry. Maybe I'll eventually get it to play. I have the 1st Disciples game from GoG, it plays fine but I may have to accept that Disciples 2 from GoG will never load for me, and maybe not for you either.
