Airborne Kingdom

Serene Perfection

This is one of the most serene games I've ever played. It's simple, knows what it wants to do and does that to perfection. I cannot heap more praise onto that game.

Citadelum

okayish Game for the price

The game feels unfinished. The mechanics are basic but servicable. Nice ressource management. Some base defense, managing conentment of your citizens. All good and well. Really enjoyable and nice to spend a calm winter evening. However. The legions don't cost anything after creating. Besides some small attacks the later stages of the game offer nothing in regards to challenge or even occupying your attention. After balancing the economy your town just runs itself. The world map is only a few towns and feels empty. There are products you cannot produce but they feel like you should be able to. They are offered by some villages sometimes, but are also demanded by them in trade, so it feels like the game isn't finished. It was just shipped with some features not implemented. Buy below 5€ then you are okay for what you get.

Outcast - A New Beginning

Incredibly disappointing

The game is incredibly disappointing. The map is almost empty. A vast desert of nothingness with small islands of things to do. The problem. Those things are not even fun. Oryn Trails and Essence shrines. Essentially gliding and jumping puzzles to pade out the game because the developer forgot to make one. Then you have outposts to conquer. Even the bigger ones don't take more than 5-10 minutes and present NO challenge whatsoever. Then we have the story. A villian so embarassingly evil but equally incompetent so you can't take him serious. I loved the original outcast, but this is an insult to that game and whoever made. Please do not ever make a video game ever again.

Sumerian Six

Good Game, but horrible optimization

I love the game. It is a bit rough around the edges. Some of the view cones of the enemies are sometimes a bit nonsensical and the enemy variety isn't quite there yet but the story and the core gameplay loop is on point. Really great game for all fans of this tacital strategy genre. BUT the optimization of the game is horrendous. Everytime I start the game for the first time I get a fatal error. Then during the game the framerate drops down to 5 every now and then. THe game freezes and stutters even on lower setting and whenever several of my units take action and trigger an alarm the game freezes and I have to kill the task. I would sooo love to give this game a good rating but it's just not there yet on the technical site.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Colossal disappointment

after the prequels I couldn|t wait to plaz this game. And the gameplay in itself is fun but the story is so fucking attrocius that I had to stop it because I couldn't bear another minute of this braindead drivel.

Windbound

Unfinished.

This would be the perfect alpha. A very neet little overview of what you generally want to do with a game. But as a finished product it is abysmal. The combat system is unresponsive and glitchy. The camera glitches out which makes combat extremly painful. The crafting system would be neet if anyone thought about the pacing of the game and when introduce the receipts and the necessary crafting materials. By god. I hope someone sees this and makes this game but better. I try to get a refund now.

Forsaken Remastered

Bad planning and no respect

My time with this game can be quickly summarized. This game feels incredibly undercooked and badly planned and the devs clearly had no respect for the originals. When going through the dialogue options the initial dialogue plays again and again. "Come in, but don't touch anything." Then you select a dialogue option, the NPC answers and then he says the initial line again. It feels like a early access game in it's alpha. The Tutorial is laborious and ended with a lore dump that is immediately repeated after jumping into the game. The difficulty curve of the enemies is weird. The first enemies you encoutner are stronger then the enemies in the second mission. The writing clearly has not seen a second draft and I would be pretty surprised if one of the Devs actually played the originals let alone red the book. The best part of the game is the movement. It feels more acurate to what it would be than the original games so there is at least that. If you want to do yourself a favour. Play the original 2 games and read the book. Skip this one and if you want a game like this just better go play Everspace.
