It's a good game 3rd person shooting game. Story keeps you going. It's a game you might revisit in a couple of years, but with a single run, (about 15h) you will be satisfied. It's my steam avatar, got it there.
I spent countless nights and enjoyed this game thoroughfully. More complex and slower than BG, but also deeper. Hordes of the underdark is one of the best expansions, drow civil war uooo. Shadows of undrentide is not so good. It has endless replay value. It's been so long that I played it last, I owe it a revisit, but ahhhh time is so scarce now. Many rocking classes specialities, I can only recommend. Just it has a bit steeper learning curve than BG, not it's difficult to enrole but slower. Also the payback is larger.
Yep, this was my first IE game. I just was astonished, this was like a dream come true back then, seemed impossible something so good. I had played diablo, some people say they are similar lol, they never played both. That was a good game, bought it here too, but IWD is a legend. This is more like baldur's 1 (true gem yep) but straightforward. The setting and NPC's are just beautiful and the EE holds very well today. I'm replaying it. I have bought the Infinity Games 5 or 6 times during my lifetime and these days my backlog is so large I'm afraid not playing them all again as time is scarce today. Still I enjoy them as much as I used to do. I'm rushing them, but still give me peace of mind and good vibe. I stopped playing anything else for the pleasure to travel to kuldahar, easthaven and the hand. Kresselack's tomb of my memories still was a charming place to visit. Many youngsters and magazines who repeat the stories they have heard say Torment is the best IE game... No way! IMHO Baldur's 1 for being the 1rst and IWD are much better, not so original as torment, but far more true to the spirit. BG2 both parts are the summit, and NWN Hordes of the underdark and the toasty Mephistopheles still visit my dreams, I play steam version, yet I bought it here aswell, not that I can afford to waste money but these games have provided so fun that I'll always support them. The EE runs flawlessly. These and the original XCOM (ufo:enemy unknown) are milestones, true there were very good games, but these two were advanced to their time. Now just do yourself a favor, install it and save the north. Once you start you won't stop.
Now, just for nostalgia and the great games these were in its time, instabuy. Penguin adventure was nice too but I still have the original treasure of USAS carthridge somewhere lost in the garage. These are mythical games I won't be able to play them just nowbut like to have them available.
So, here I am, indeed what reviews said about this tiny game were true. I was leaving it pass by, but at its price gave him a go. Good I did! It is fun, entertaining, no grinding required. Get it, you'll enjoy. It's a roguelike, casual, but in one day I've had a few runs and I just want to be able to play it again. Totally worth it!
I know f-117 has best graphics, gameplay and whatsever, but this game has finally found home. Saw it bought it! Not tried yet, doubt I'll play it soon but I will play it again, no doubt. A lost masterpiece found! Learning is a bit steep but u'll get a very good time.
I used to play this in hot seat mode alongside my sister and brother. In an ps2 IBM my parents grinded to buy. Know what? it still holds as good as I remember. I have plenty modern games installed but even I hate dosbox, I decided to go for the original (2nd is slightly better but lacks castle customisation)and 3 is another game that just sucks. Well I'm a completionist, have 3/4 of england conquered with castles full to the brim and ready to finish the AI. Absolutely as addictive as it was. FUNNY AND ADDICTIVE as hell. Requires some micromanagement when you have almost won, but hey ruling is hard! And the wish to finish makes you forgive it. I have no time for gaming now but this is really a true jewel that works flawlessly in W10 for me. It takes me back but It feels the same, this has no price. And I have always returned to this game, every 3 or 4 years I finish it again. Now I have it here, ready for the occasion. Don't let the old graphs and first learning throw you back, give it a real chance and you will have a real good time. Don't hesitate. Get it and give it some investment, it will give you real fun.
This game is tough rock. It will be challenging and requires thinking. It's very tight, meaning that won't be forgiving, and item and skills management are scarce and require focusing. The story is sort of meh, with interesting turns but quite ordinary. Side quests are interesting and almost compulsory if you want to develop your characters. I found one mission broken, only one, the one of the slaves caravan, despite completing it after talking to the merchant the conclusion didn't trigger. Recomended to install the dlc untold legends. Don't follow guides unless necessary, and save often. For hardcore RPG who like turn based strategy and are persistent enough to reach the end of it. I got Blackguards 2 too, but I'm satisfied with 1, and need some rest before going for it. Battlefleet gothic got in its way and I'll play it after i'm done with the W40K nice Armada RTS.
