Close Combat in general is still one of my Favorite,if not the Favorite Strategy Series, cause im usually not much into RTS and Stuff. I played A Bridge too Far back in the Day,and thats where the Love started. CC3 has a unique Campaign System, sometimes i like it,sometimes not. Overall i prefer the System of the later Games. But this is the last Release where you could zoom really near to the Units, what i totally miss in the later ones. Also the Russian Front in general is more Interesting to me. In the End it Depends on which Front interests you more i think, but no matter what Title, you cant do anything wrong with CC. Also run well on Win10,having absolutely no Issues.
There was alot said about this Game so i keep this short. A wonderful little Adventure Game, best played if you dont look for clues. The Feeling if you solve the Riddles on your own is simply too great. I love the World,Artstyle and Soundtrack. Pretty cheap and absolutely worth your Time, this Game is Art.
I just wanted to give my 50 Cents about this Game because of all the Negative Reviews. I played almost every Arpg on the Market, tons of D2 and over 2k Hours D3,Path of Exile and so on. As i bought Vikings i got these Games in Mind and it was a huge Mistake,i also think it was pretty Bad Advertisement. The Game can be compared with these just at 20% id say. As i first started it i got bored fast and threw it away a Year ago. Weeks ago i finally gave it another try and played it on Hardcore (Valhalla Mode) This is where the Game really shines. You start using the Blacksmith intensely and go raiding alot. Also you start to see that the Combat isnt your typical Arpg Game. If you dont use your Roll ability in the right Moments it all can go South pretty fast. Best Way to go into this Game is to see it as its own Thing.
Like Title says. I was so Glad to see this on GoG,cause a Friend told me about it a while ago. As i saw it,i immediately bought it. Im a Fan of Sword and Sorcery Storys,Wizardry for Example never was something for me because of the Scifi Stuff. So W & W seems the Rpg for me. World is pretty Straight forward but open Enough to get an Adventure Feeling. The Best of it are the Dungeons,as i finally reached the Serpents Temple i got the Total S&S Vibe and was more than Hooked. Theres a good Bunch of Mysterys in them, they are Heavily Athmospheric. Its sad that its so Underrated, but it seems to be because of all the other Great Rpgs out there, and with them in Comparision it has probably not much to offer. But you get tons of Fun and Athmosphere out of it if youre into Sword and Sorcery and Rpgs in General id say. Experienced no Bugs and Stuff on Win 7
Dont let Reviews Fool you. Based on some which gave the Game good Reviews i finally bought it. After a few Hours in the Game i brutally didnt liked it. I played alot of Old Games,Games with, what you could consider Bad Graphics,Controls and Stuff. But Revenant is really Bad. I like the Idea of it and the World it trys to bring in,but its pretty Bad translated into a Game. Controls are more than Clunky and it feels like there was no Love from the Devs put into this. In the End it still depends on Personal Taste and stuff,i can Imagine that some are really like this Game, but was nothing for me.
