Imagine Earth

Amazing game support

The developer has offered an absolutely *amazing* support of the game - including supporting and updating the game just as on GOG as on Steam. I am 36 hours into the game and am frankly having a really great time playing the game... Surely I have experienced minor annoyances or bugs but the developer has fixed stuff at record speed. The theme of the game , which I have seen annoys some , is fine by me , I even enjoy it ! IMO the developer deserves game communiity's support so I think that people ought to give the game a go with an open mind, who knows maybe you will enjoy the game too !

Victory At Sea

OK 'casual' game, but a grind (SPOILERS)

I think that the game has more annoyances but over all an OK game for what it is , which to me is a sort of casual ships fighting game. (if you can not forgive the game for that then deduct a rating star !) I think it a bit strange that a lot of 'in-game management' is at the same menu level as Save and Load game, also there is no 'parking' ships in port, it's strictly sell and buy as far as I can see. Also 'captains' management could be better, and I see no place when in port or in menu to have a ships count other than counting one self. I mean would be nice with an quick overview in-port with number of different category ships. My main annoyances with the game is , apart from becoming a grind after playing long enough ! , is that any 'special mission' appear to be the game trying to set you up to get you butt kicked . But luckily, then as far as I could see, then you can 'fail' to do any of those missions without that the game punish you. As the game generally seem 'forgiving' and you can save and load game all you want and since the game ran rock solid on my Windows 10, 64 bit with no problems then I am willing to give the game four stars despite being a bit of grind from mid game on I think ! Just do not expect more than some hours of 'casual' entertainment !

Aground Demo

Best demo I have ever played

The Aground demo is the best demo that I have ever played and it has more content and more play time than some full games. Really great demo and a great game if you give it a chance - continue/stick with the game demo until at least when you have visited both eastern and western islands to have tried a fair representation of what the game has to offer... Demo is said to be able to give 10 hours of play time but I personally managed to squeeze 28 hours of play time out of my own playing the demo on Steam (was before the game was accepted on GOG).

Aground

Great if you accept it's not Terraria

Aground is a really great game for people that likes in-game 'crafting' and to explore the game worlds. At first glance to me it looked like a poor Terraria clone but that were only my own prejudice or because I had not yet fully understood Aground completely. Yes , there is crafting and there are blocks to be mined and an inventory and so on and so on.. However to me then Aground also succeeded in setting it's own standard. It's a quirky game with somewhat rough graphics but under the hood there is both a story-line and a lot of good ideas. Even though that it may sometimes appear as if the story-line is somewhat optional then the game progress is mostly locked to the story-line which for some may make an otherwise really cool game appear more like a fetch quest than the really great game that it is, but I think that that is entirely a matter of perspective. Anyway what makes Aground even greater is that anybody is completely free to make up their own mind AND even free as in absolutely no admission fee to try the *really great demo* that has more play time than many full games - so do not take my word for it go make yourself acquainted with the Aground demo right now ! (The demo is linked to in top of the description on the GOG game page ) Only , before you think that you know Aground then at least get to know both the Island to the east and to the west of the starting island as to give yourself a fair chance to fully grasp how much of a game that you got here ;-) (I played the demo for 25 hours before buying the full version game) For developers own description of Aground then please visit their website here : http://press.fancyfishgames.com/sheet.php?p=aground (I have played Aground on Steam but do not yet have the GOG version at the time of posting the review here !)

S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition

Very great turnbased strategy game

While the graphics of this game is not that of a neww modern (2012) game then this is defenitely worth playing (for those that like the genre ofcourse). The game-play offers experience point that can be added to the characters where there are more tree like set of abilities that one must choose to enhance to develop character skills... Game-play also offers that you can both loot along the way and equip the characters both before going into battle and with whatever you can pckup during mission that the character(s) can use , carry and have in inventory. The games(s) might not appeal to all but I got the game(s) on disc(s) myself and have spent many hours playing them. The only thing that bothers me has been that at least one of the missions (where a factory explode if you kill its leader) can be very hard to get through....
