Gorgeous graphics, amazing soundtrack, good writing, fun management, difficult decisions. I really liked this game and how it delivered a really interesting mixture of genres here! Bonus points because I could encourage one of the daughters to be come a sword-lesbian.

A short story about a cheerful girl and her sad childhood, life in a small town and finding peace. I really like how well this game handles the rollercoaster of emotions life, particularly a life of a child, can be with all seriousness without ever becoming obsessed with misery; on the contrary, there is always something to be cheerful about.

Dark Souls of Neverwinter Nights, what more can I say? Ok right, the storyline overall feels both intricate, making use of a ton of D&D lore (which I like!) and has interesting concepts behind the companions, at the same time the dialogues themselves often feel rather dry and sober, a bit more emotion and colour could have elevated it. The atmosphere overall is rather dark, but for me, that's a good thing.

I have very mixed feelings regarding this Addon; on the one hand I absolutely love the Spellforce 3 maingame and it's writing, the takes on the worldbuilding and all; Soul Harvest still has some of these elements, the quality of dialogue writing is fantastic, the game is beautiful again and the gameplay fun. However, many aspects of the story feel like someone (the main writer?) wanted to make something up on their own and didn't care for the wider Spellforce worldbuilding and narrative themes at all; it just clashes.

I immensely enjoyed the overall pacing of the game, the plotline, thoughts on AI and technology and the artdesign lending to a cold but not heartless atmosphere. The gameplay and puzzles were also pretty good and served the plot well.
