While I certainly enjoyed the FPS gameplay of DUSK, it's really good, what mainly drew me in was the journey in itself, how it started, developed, and ended. The constant brooding and dark atmosphere, the descent into a deep, deep darkness, it almost felt introspective. You can tell DUSK was made by someone who did excellent Walking Simulators before, but also who understood FPS games. Fantastic

While I think the dialogues and most of the story are mediocre in comparison to other CRPGs (so still pretty good), I had a lot of fun with this game; it really gave me the feeling of shaping a nation out of a hostile area, with all the back and forts, troubles, defeats but also victories.

THis is hands down one of my most favourite indie games of the 2010s; it's cheeky, elegant, atmospheric, haunting, sometimes creepy, sometimes fascinating. The gameplay loop is also one I really liked to get into. The game explains just very little, so what is needed is an investigative mind who likes to understand systems, partially by trial and error, partially by thinking through what you see. I really enjoy this!

Probably my favourite of the major DLCs for Pillars of Eternity 2; I might even like it more than the main story. The overall thematization of Rymrgand and what he represents, as well as some tie ins to big moments of the background lore were absolutely fantastic. Further, I enjoyed the new companion as well as the overall wintery atmosphere.

I think it's a really good addition to Deadfire, picking up a few narrative themes the main campaign treated in a lackluster way; In the end, I had even more questions about the worldbuilding and underlying lore than answers, but I think that's to be expected about a Wael themed DLC.
