Pillars of Eternity: The White March - Part II

Wonderful expansion

I love PoE, I really liekd WM1 and Winter landscapes are also up my alley. So what can I say? It's absolutely worth playing. The direction to which the main plot went is also fantastic and I think a very good narrative complementation of the topics tackled in the main game.

Banner Saga 2 - Deluxe Edition

Caravan of desperation

I really enjoyed this worty continuation of the story started in the first game, it pushes the characters, and the player with them, further into the misery of a dying world and the desperation which comes with that. I enjoyed every minute of it

Curious Expedition

Fun game

Wonderful soundtrack, beautiful pixelgraphics and an addictive gameplay loop. It's always a joy to explore all these regions and even find new things from time to time

Project Highrise

Falls short of Sim Tower

While I do think the gameplay has more depth than Sim Tower had, and is overall going into a more interesting direction, the game lacks a key component: Charme. There soundscape is particularly quiet and sterile, it sadly doesn't convey a busy skyscraper in any way, the art design is similarly stiff and dry. The gameplay in itself drags itself a tad too long and becomes repetitive at some point; I would have liked a bit more diversity in how to handle things

Orwell

Cautionary tale

A cautionary tale about surveillance. Well written, interestingly illustrated and very atmospheric

Tyranny - Gold Edition

Not good, but evil

I really enjoyed Tyranny a lot, the setting is intriguing, the characters were well written (I mean it's Obsidian, that's to be expected), the whole premisse of "evil" won was interesting, eventhough I feel like it could have dared to be more creative what evil entails. My only grief was, that it kept itself too short, lacking depth in some parts.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

Worthy Commandos successor in spirit

As a big fan of the Commandos games I really liked Shadow Tactics from the get go; it both keeps what made the old games great, but adds it's own ideas to the mixture, including sensible modernizations.

Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville

Neat game

A really cool take on the zombie apocalypse through the lense of a turn-based strategy/city builder game! A way too rare combination. I also enjoyed the humour and the writing was nice

Pillars of Eternity: The White March - Part I

Good addon

A good addon for a great game; basically more of the same (in a very good sense) but with snow.

Hacknet Ultimate Edition

Excellent Hacker-narrative

I really enjoyed this game a lot, particularly with a cup of coffee. The story and narrative where surprisingly engaging and complex; even the characters showed a lot of personality via just chat messages. The "hacking" gameplay, sometimes with time pressure, was also really fun. Combined, the gameplay and narrative, really highlighted a lot of privacy issues and other dangers our connected world entails.
