I really liked the first POE game but the sequel is an improvement in terms of setting, an island archipelago with a South Asian cultures flavour, intriguing plot and some returing characters from the first game, The only thing I didn't like is travelling the overworld through a ship from the map, at first it was pretty fun to manage and upgrade the ship and supplies but after a while it became a tedfious busy work to commute. Still Pillars of Eternity Deadfire is must play modern CRPG.
Shadowrun Returns was my cyberpunk style CRPG. I know this particular game was remade in it's sequel engine with expanded mechanics but enjhoyed the linear but well told story and game mecahnics with interesting choices. Recommended
Dagaon is essentially a interactive video game adaptation of HP Lovecraft's story and it does a good job of capturing the atmosphere of the story.
Gwent is still a solid card game to play for entertainment, can't say anything about the competitivve scene
