styggron: Has GoG got back to you with anything?

It's a nightmare just to even TRY to contact GoG support now. [...]

UrbanSepp: No, they haven't answered yet. And yes, the bot is a terrible idea. Bugs and problems in games are too diverse, at least in my opinion, to be answered by a bot.

Maybe they are very stressed at the moment. Does anyone of you know, if the time window for a refund gets bigger in a case like this? I mean, Two Point Hospital clearly isn't working as intended and as advertised at this time and moment. Let's say the support needs 31 days to reply, do I still have the option to refund the game, if the broken state won't get fixed?
I wanted to put in a support ticket too but the bot made it complex and frustrating so I gave up half way. it used to be way better and much easier to put in a support ticket.

I don't know if the refund window gets bigger but GoG are very fair, if it takes too long to get back to you I am sure a refund is possible.

I love Two Point hospital, it's fantastic, but the overview screen is clearly a big, it flashes up some data in one box then vanishes and it also brings up some text which clearly looks like it is programing code variable so the bug is there. The main issue would be that it looks like galaxy users are not affected so only offline users like us are. GoG still have their mandate and you're right, the game does not work as stated so there does have to be some kind of fix. I got worried when someone here on the thread implied it might take a long time and one other saying there are other broken games that were never fixed this worries me about this title actually.

When they do reply to you, if it's ok, please post about it here as well. I think the only thing I can do is uninstall it or just leave it and wait until there is an update for it and then HOPE the update addressed that problem.

I am very surprised GoG let this game pass with the bug though, they clearly do not test their offline games which ironically is their main mandate and the reason why where all here.

A few minutes ago, I contacted Two Point Sutdios as well. I guess something is wrong with the system here on GOG right now, they usually don't take that long to reply. And the update notification doesn't work either, so I guess they are pretty busy trying to repair their system.

If i get any news, from GOG or the studio, I will post an update here. I think a friendly Email to the devs won't hurt. So if you got the same problem, let them know in a polite and friendly manner, so that they see, it is not just an isolated incident.

Good idea. I will see if I can contact the devs as well.

Am wondering if adding any of the DLC will help. I bought all the DLC as well, I will try to add one and see if it does anything. I doubt it though but worth a try. Yes my issue is identical to the one you described. Makes the game hard to play too.

Surprised there are not a huge amount of people affected by this though.

I'd be amazed if that changes anything.

Well… I didn't buy the game because of 1) the missing Linux version 2) price a bit too steep for a game that I already bought a long time ago.
Just wanted to add my two cents that I hope this gets fixed. Would NOT have dropped the coin had I known before hand....Too bad, really is a fun one.

Same. Concerned it might be months before we see an update though.
It's trying to get an avatar icon from GOG Galaxy for the Leaderboard screen.
This bug can be easily fixed by changing 3 bytes in TPH_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll
If you know ho to use HEX-editirs there are those bytes (use at your own risk):
Comparing files Assembly-CSharp.dll.original and Assembly-CSharp.dll.fixed:
001A3A12: 46 0A
001A3A13: 02 16
001A3A14: 7B 2A

I can confirm this fixes the bug.

But how on earth did you find this? And what exactly does the change do? Usually it is a bad idea to edit dll files because some random internet dude says so, but in this instance it really works. Thanks!

But even though this fixes the bug i think there needs to be an patch. You can't expect your customers to edit dll files for games to work, can you.

It makes ShouldUseOnlineAvatar in-game function always return false. It's not the ideal fix, because if you are using GOG Galaxy to launch the game you won't see your avatar on the Leaderboard screen with this fix.

UrbanSepp: Hi my fellow Hospital lovers.

I played TPH on my PS4, so I am kind of familiar with the game and its mechanics. On the PS4 I could go to overview (in the lower left corner of the screen), pick guidelines and then configure, for example, at what certainty a patient goes to treatment. Or cancel that last visit to the doctor, a kind of must have, to play later stages.

In my game it is impossible to select this guideline tab. I also noticed, that the statistics are kind of messed up, I took a screenshot of this. The only tab i can go to ist the rewards tab, every other tab wont work.

I suspect this is because i don't use the Galaxy Launcher, and therefore I am in offline mode. Can any Galaxy-User confirm this behavior? Or is it just a bug on my system?

It is not a language related issue, i tried it with english language and it didn't work either. Thanks in advance!
Hello,

Thank you for the heads up on this. We got in contact with the developer and they have fixed the issue. Please update your offline version by downloading the updated offline installer(s) or via GOG Galaxy. We apologize for the hassle caused by this particular bug.
Does the game work properly for anyone post-patch? All my existing hospitals seem to be unloadable and restarting one (in this case Melt Down) does not work out either. When trying to edit a room it stays dark when finishing and the game feels soft-locked. Trying to exit and reload leads to the same troubles as before.

I'm asking carefully because I'm using the game under Wine but it worked pretty much perfectly before the patch but now it's a train wreck.

I only got the game and I'm losing my mind.

Setup used: setup_two_point_hospital_0.727_(59795)

I can't build a GP's Office room in the tutorial already...

I build a 3x3, I add a door, I add a desk and I add a filing cabinet. Then click the green tick and the whole room turns black (sans the door which remains blueprint blue) with outlines of items sticking out of the room. I can no longer edit said black room. The tutorial continues asking me to build a GP's office. I try again. Same result. I have two black 3x3s...

If I leave the campaign to the main menu and then try to load my hospital back, it fails suggests reverting to a backup or restarting.

Looking at the screenshots of the game, I can also say that my hospital has no walls. None. Only floating windows.

I tried changing every graphical option I could find - no change. Reinstalled the game 3 times (with/without DLC), each time scrubbing my drive and registry from "Point Studios"/"Point Hospital". Rebooted every time. Nothing.

I'm losing my mind.

You're not alone. It's the same for me.

The Overview problem is fixed, but GOG and SEGA somehow managed to create a bigger problem.

For completeness sake, I just rolled back to 0.726 via Galaxy and everything works perfectly fine again. Old hospitals load (except for Melt Down, which I explicitly restarted) and building a new room works as intended.
Yeah, last patch totally f**ked up whole game.
