Hi my fellow Hospital lovers.

I played TPH on my PS4, so I am kind of familiar with the game and its mechanics. On the PS4 I could go to overview (in the lower left corner of the screen), pick guidelines and then configure, for example, at what certainty a patient goes to treatment. Or cancel that last visit to the doctor, a kind of must have, to play later stages.

In my game it is impossible to select this guideline tab. I also noticed, that the statistics are kind of messed up, I took a screenshot of this. The only tab i can go to ist the rewards tab, every other tab wont work.

I suspect this is because i don't use the Galaxy Launcher, and therefore I am in offline mode. Can any Galaxy-User confirm this behavior? Or is it just a bug on my system?

It is not a language related issue, i tried it with english language and it didn't work either. Thanks in advance!

Confirmed bug. When launching independently of GOG Galaxy, those tabs are not available for some reason.

GOG, can you take a look at this, please?

UPDATE: I submitted a ticket with screenshots and an explanation. I would suggest you do the same. :)

GOG: test your games thoroughly without GOG Galaxy before releasing them, already! You have been informed several times through the years about released games not functioning properly without launching GOG Galaxy. It's about time that you be proactive instead of reactive with this problem.

This best not be another impaired release that isn't ever fixed like Saints Row: The Third Remastered...
Thanks for your replies. Like you suggested i also did open a ticket. I hope this issue will be fixed. Simulating an account could probably do the trick, but my programming skills are not even close to be able to do something like that.

I don't see how this game is beatable without the ability to manage your hospital behavior. Let's hope for the best i guess :/
There is broken games on GOG that never get fixes. Entirely broken too. And this one bug is also major one - it is important part to set rules for diagnostics.
High chances it wont get fixes. It take half a year for Sega to bring this release to GOG after public announce (and DoW still not even have any private builds).

Which ones specifically are broken?
They Are Billions. Cannot be completed - CTD; chose weeks challanges - CTD, block it from network - CTD (compeltely turn off netwrok or do not block).

( Warhammer Blood Bowl, but this turn seconds bug probably didnt fixed in current steam version as well , so this is kinda differ example)

Same problem. I only just bought Two Point Hospital a few days ago. Only the awards tab works. I don't use GoG Galaxy, I use direct download version only.

I hope they fix this soon because without seeing any of the stats, how are we supposed to keep track of things, especially the staff screen where you can specify how many go on a break at the same time.

I got worried when I read a few people saying it could be a very long time before the fix but more and more people will see the problem so more tickets.

I honestly don't think it is any DRM stuff. Once you click the overview button the game tries to give you some statistic feedback. On PS4 it showed me how well the other hospitals do, and right there it used to put my PSN-Friends into the mix. Since I don't use Galaxy, and I don't want to, there are not Friends, there is not even a connection the game could use.

My guess is, the statistic-script throws an exception, because it tries to get my online friends and there is just a dark void. Instead of continuing with the other statistics it just stops the script and the output is the mess you can see in the screenshot. If I am right this should be fixable without too much of a hassle for the devs. At least I hope so, i love the game and really want it to work...

Awards, Leaderboards as well the more important Finance, Staff, Patients, Policy and Log tabs work perfectly fine with Galaxy. One can only speculate whether that's how it is supposed to be or a bug. All I can say is vital tabs aren't accessible when the client is offline or not running, as well as when an offline installation is used to play the game.

This is a bug, and I agree with the "trying to get friends stats" hypothesis presented by UrbanSepp here. This is by no means some sneaky DRM. I am guessing it slipped past QA either at Two Point Studios or at GOG.

The thing is though, are they just going to tell us "sorry you have to go online for this to work" or are they actually going to chase it up and fix it as it should be. I don't use galaxy and never will. I expect it to run without internet access as many would.

Has GoG got back to you with anything?

It's a nightmare just to even TRY to contact GoG support now. They want DXDiag info etc when it is a bug with the game, their auto system is terrible now :'(

No, they haven't answered yet. And yes, the bot is a terrible idea. Bugs and problems in games are too diverse, at least in my opinion, to be answered by a bot.

Maybe they are very stressed at the moment. Does anyone of you know, if the time window for a refund gets bigger in a case like this? I mean, Two Point Hospital clearly isn't working as intended and as advertised at this time and moment. Let's say the support needs 31 days to reply, do I still have the option to refund the game, if the broken state won't get fixed?
