BitMaster_1980: Does the game work properly for anyone post-patch? All my existing hospitals seem to be unloadable and restarting one (in this case Melt Down) does not work out either. When trying to edit a room it stays dark when finishing and the game feels soft-locked. Trying to exit and reload leads to the same troubles as before.

I'm asking carefully because I'm using the game under Wine but it worked pretty much perfectly before the patch but now it's a train wreck.
Yes, the game now has some loading issues with the assets. When I tried, i could place the GP but not the pharmacy. I compared the md5 hash of old files with the new files to find out, what actually changed. The asset files are all new, so i guess something went wrong in there.

I update the ticket and hope for the best. But I am very pleased, that the devs replied fast and friendly when i contacted them.

Confirmed. I had come here to post that JudasIscariot had replied to my ticket, but see you are all already on top of it. Sure, the statistics now work, but now my savegame is totally broken and you can't build a room.
To be able to play at the moment I did the following: From the new installation (727) I took the two files:

Two Point Hospital/TPH_Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp.dll
Two Point Hospital/TPH_Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll

and saved them. Uninstalled the game, reinstalled the old 726 version, and copied those two files in there. Now the game can load my old save, I can build rooms and I have a working overview. It is by no means a fix but at least you can have fun with the game and enjoy your well earned weekend until they provide another update.

Nowadays GOGGalaxy is main. For publishers and for GOG. To make patch according to GOG official documentation, devs can make Galaxy build and later it will automatically generate offline installer. So all you need is test game in Galaxy client.
I doubt GOG do test updates for games.

And i doubt GOG did test first release in real offline from offline installers. Although this time they probably did. This menus is gameplay important to win game, but if tester not know game mechanics and test only general playability he can miss it.

So at one point, we cant blame GOG that entirely broken game (because fisr version and this menu is major bug make game uplayable) in initially release version come here, same as updates (GOG not related to updates).

At other point... This is globally GOGs fault with their Galaxy...
When there is many games, GOG Galaxy needed for that updating, as well as GOG Galaxy API and documentation. Without that it is make too much job for GOG staff. But that not mean GOG should completely forget about offline installers and let publishers mess with it.

So happy I read this forum before getting the update. After reading the update breaks the game, I'm going to wait until there is yet another update. So sad the update caused so many other programs that rendered it unplayable unless you install the previous version.

Oddly in my library it does not even show up as being updated. I checked my offline installer it is 726 and the new one there in the library is 727. I guess I need to wait for 728 and then wait to see what people on here says before daring to try it. :'(

Hey everyone!

We are aware of the issues with the latest version of the game that's why we also reversed build on the 'Master' branch to the previous, stable release. Also, fix is being working on and the proper update should show up soon :)

Nice Work...Thanks!!
Still on version 726 for offline installers so no change/update yet.
0.728 up. 0.726 patch, too.

Backup your saves... lol...

Just checked and yes they are both up now. I just downloaded the patch not run it yet though. I'll find where the saves are and take a copy of them. I have the offline 726 installers still so I can revert to 726 if I need to.

I might wait a little to see what others say first though.
I 3stared the first 2 hospitals on a clean 0.728 install.
No issues with building. Overview works fine. No problems reloading campaigns or any of the hospitals thus far.

Only encountered one issue as of now. A janitor I had fired would not leave the staff room. He'd just stand there with the "fired" icon. Had to edit the room to release him. Did not try replicating it so I don't know if it was just an unfortunate combination of events or what...

I'm not thinking of refunding my purchase anymore so thank you to everyone involved.

I updated to 728 and now none of my sandbox games load anymore. (tried patch and tried install full 728). I don't use galaxy I use offline installers.

Main campaign games load, overview screen works but bye bye to my sandbox games.
I need to install 726 back now and hope it will work.

Looks like patch is still does not work properly.
I am disappointed. I don't want to lose the sandbox game I have.

I will keep the two files from the Assembly directory to copy over 726 (see previous entry in this thread) and hope it works until 729 comes out.

**Update
Reinstalling 766 made my sandbox games loadable again, I kept the two DLL's from the bugged new 768 that breaks my sandbox games and replaced them over my 766 install. Overview now works and sandbox game now loads. This is only a temporary fix until we get 769....... well, if they fix it for sandbox games from 768 that is.

these two files are the ones I kept from the bugged 768 install (breaks my sandbox games), I put these over my 766 install to do a temp fix.

\TPH_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll
\TPH_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll

lets hope they fix it. I don't want to lose my sandboxes.

Thank you to the OP who originally suggested these are the files to play with.

Man that sucks. I've not yet unlocked sandbox mode so I couldn't even check. Fingers crossed again, I guess.
