I just redeemed a steam witcher 2 enhanced edition cd key. Although when I first saw the steam daily offer of 60%, I immediately checked GOG for a similar price drop, which would definitely be my first choice if it would cost more; sadly steam got my money instead... Anyhow, thought I'd let people know that the codes are still redeemable. This is an amazing customer service by GOGdotcom and CD PROJEKT RED. Admirable stance.
Funny how I purchased TW 2 on GOG. I pre-ordered it actually, then it turns out I could have gotten it on GOG through any other way I wanted as they gave everyone a backup copy except those that bought it on GOG. Oh well.
I tried both links and got 404 :/

Same here :/
It went 404 right as i got confirmation, I've had the page loaded for three days too, being able to input a code.

Hey Gog? any idea whats up?
same here ;_; oh no ...lol i recently just received my own requested cd key :( ....why 404 :(
error 404 when trying the link.. What's the go?
I got this message from support hours later I've submitted a ticket:
Hello

We apologize for the inconvenience. We are aware of this issue and the Backup site should be back up later today.

So let's wait how it goes.

Khalan: F) [could take up to 72 hours]
1. Go to http://www.thewitcher.com/backup
2. Click Digital Version
3. Click No when it asks you if you have proof of purchase
4. Provide your public Steam ID and Steam email address so they can check your account.
Didn't work at all. When you click 'Digital version' it doesn't ask you about proof of purchase and there's no such option as 'No'

Worked great for me, i swear every time i read about/interact with these guys in any way i fall a little more in love with them. Definitely going to be buying more games here than on steam from now on.
The first one worked for me, thanks!
Thanks a lot! I was lucky and A worked fine for me. Downloading the backup copy as we speak, which will be great, since it doesn't seem we can mod the Steam Version. Appreciate your post!

No.

This option was a move by GOG, who is owned by CDP RED, the developer of TW and TW2, to provide Steam users with a DRM-free optional backup and promote the GOG.com platform. But Steam and GOG are competitors, and Steam never made such a deal available to GOG users.
