Unlimited weight mod is a godsend. I like inventories in RPGs, but I hate having a weight limit. All that does it force you to go to shops constantly and annoy you. Especially in a game like this where you want to keep all the crafting materials you find it makes little sense to annoy the player with weight limits, and strict ones at that.

So thank you to that modder.

fireundubh: Add All Usable Items to Innkeepers, Add All Usable Items to Mysterious Merchant, and XML Item Fixes have been updated.

The first two were missing bombs and, surprisingly, nobody brought that to my attention.

I also removed quest items and most of the nonfunctional items. I left some potentially nonfunctional crafting diagrams and recipes. For example, there's no Nilfgaardian Harpy sword, so the diagram probably won't give you anything. Any item that does not have a orens value is likely to be nonfunctional. Again, be a smart consumer and watch what you buy! ;)

XML Item Fixes was renamed XML Fixes. I had left out an ability fix for mages that should actually correct a bug with Igni, where the speed of Igni was not being applied. With that said, that bug probably only affects NPCs that use Igni or cast fireball spells. I had left this fix out of the initial release because it completely slipped my mind.

FYI: The modding tutorial in the original post is rather extensive. Extracting files from the pack0.dzip is trivial with Gibbed's RED.Unpack tool. Unfortunately, RED.Unpack is an all-or-nothing drag-and-drop tool or a command-line tool, and you need to know how to download the sources from SVN and compile the solution with Microsoft Visual Studio or MSBUILD. Gibbed also has a RED.Pack tool, which creates DZIPs, so it's worthwhile to download and learn TortoiseSVN and Microsoft Visual Studio Express.
No change to the "epic and rare" ones?
( not that they need any, just to know if I should download a more recent version or if they share any problem you had with the all items)
thanks anew for the mod

My new mod:

should not have fixed numbers in a RPG, so...

Oil and Potion Rebalance
http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=59

Random Stats and duration when crafted!

Potions Duration will be between 10 and 20 minutes.
Oil Duration will be between 10 and 15 minutes.

Example:

Necrophage Oil

Duration: Between 10 and 15 minutes
Bonus Damage to necrophages: Between 15% and 25%

this is the first step to my "alchemy balanace and overview" mod.

Suggestions and Feedback are welcome, enjoy!

Yep, +1 to the weight limit mod and viger draining block mod.

For many RPGs like DA or Oblivion for instance, weight is not such a big deal because they give you other storage containers and/or ability to increase your weight limit through backpacks or by adding more strength to your stat. Witcher 2 gives you none of these options, so you do need a weight limit for maximum enjoyment (aka minimum annoyance).

And Witcher2 is the only game i know of that limits how often you can block.

Also, i don't like how mutagen use is permanent because what is the use of having lesser mutagen then? There are mods where you can add tons more mutegens to abilities, but thats just overkill. They should just have a mod where are able to replace the existing ones.

I don't think there are any epic or rare quest items or bombs, but I could be wrong. Let me know at Nexus if there are any, so I can update the mod.
can you add http://gamemodscore.org/forum.php to your Helpful links as well ? there are loads of mods there, and some tutorials some not posted here. I would apprecite if you did.

The download section: http://gamemodscore.org/downloads.php

each upload will have a Autogenerated thread here for discussion making modders work more easier to distribute: http://gamemodscore.org/forumdisplay.php/29-The-Witcher-2-Mods

you can download without REGISTERING or delay time, also the site is Completely AD-FREE (means no annoying ads gonna pop up from nowhere).
Currently busy on complete mutagen / ability overhaul. Focusing more on mutagens. Going to replace all known mutagens and add 18 new ones instead. Some will scale with your level. And some abilities will affect those mutagens. Some abilities will be changed, and more mutagen slots will be added to them

Also, working on complete oil / rune overhaul. Their effects will be greater. Updating descriptions aswell...

Since I'm adding more and more bonuses, I'll edit enemies a little bit and make them a bit more powerful. Also updating descriptions, of course. Although, it'll require a new game more or less, or if I can find a way to remove/reset mutagens... Best to try it on 2nd/3rd playthroughs I guess.

Rest will be a loooong process of bug hunting and balancing... What do you guys think?

edit: Mv.c9, many of those are straight from W2Nexus...
