The patcher seems to be only for 64bit, didn't work on my old 32bit laptop, is there a way to get the exe file and not the patcher?

Patch works well, though the graphics are a bit blurry. But it's better than 4:3 lol

i also used the patcher and it works great, just needs some tweaking in the graphics control panel to get it right.

I've recently implemented 1080p and also an additional zoom functionality, but the work was done for the alobby project instead (and the changes haven't been integrated/released yet). I'll probably spin this off soon as a new launcher for the game and then make THAT available via github simultaneously.

Meanwhile this has been integrated into the aLobby. So if you guys download and start the aLobby ( lobby.siedler3.net ) at least once, you'll find two new exe files in the Settlers 3 folder called "s3_alobby.exe" and "s3ce.exe":
-the s3_alobby.exe offers the first version of this patch here with the resolution 1366x768 to be found as a replacement of the original 640x480 resolution
-the s3ce.exe offers the current patch from Horkrux with different resolutions to choose, the zoom functionality (and much more features and bug fixes in fact)

Everything is part of this repo: bitbucket.org/adrianer/alobby-src

Good to know. How does it compare feature-wise to the History Edition at this point?

The old patch can still be downloaded here, but I recommend looking for a project called "alobby" instead. Its main purpose is to provide restored online play functionality, but it also includes a lot of gameplay fixes and an improved version of this widescreen patch.

I've created a patch that increases the resolution from the original 1024x768 to 1360x768, adding widescreen 16:9 support to the game.

Tried launching aLobby but it gives me an error about a missing DLL file and aborts.

well...i've installed aLobby, and in the game's folder, there is two new applications....but when i tried to play via "s3ce.exe" the game asks for a serial key.

Via GOG (normal s3.exe game) everything is normal.

i tried to put the GOG-web serial key into the s3ce.exe or s3_aLobby.exe but the serial key is "wrong" (for this version i guess)

i manage to put my game in widescreen, but i need a zoom out version of it because the screen is just too "zoomed" in.

well, in my last atempt , i tried to register on aLobby site, everything went ok but my nickname is "darkprotection" and the aLobby application does not allow me to login because my nickname is 14 chars. long. ¬¬ ....and i can't edit my nickname in the alobby's forum...

it's a bad day for me -.-'

Did you run the .reg file in the game directory as administrator?

There is, it was deliberately put there by GOG for this very reason. If it's missing, verify your installation.
