This new update is superb, and well worth the wait. I can play comfortably with my gamepad, the lighting and texture work is massively improved, and I can finally read the text crawls after boss levels. All in all, fantastic work.

I *do* have a few minor niggles, but not enough that I need to wait for another patch, and after hearing that more updates are on the way I'm certain these can be ironed out.

1) Gamepad support is still a little sketchy in menus. It's hard, if not impossible, to tell which buttons you've highlighted on the weapon and upgrade screens, and I accidentally upgraded my axe with that rubbish mana perk as a result. Occasionally, the gamepad will stop working on these screens altogether, forcing me to use a mouse. I switch to the mouse when navigating these screens now, which is a minor hassle, but nothing too big.

2) When playing on Gamepad, the mouse always returns to the centre of the screen in menus. It can be confusing when the mouse highlights one option but the gamepad is selecting another.

3) My autorun settings revert to 'walk' and need changing at the beginning of every level. One click of a button and this is fixed, so it's incredibly minor. But still.

4) Am I right in thinking that as a result of the extra brightness, the 'light' spell has been removed entirely? It doesnt appear on my spell screen. The original game really was far too dark, and the amount of time spent clicking the right button for light was daft, but I'm not against some dark levels that play with some Doom 3 style light-juggling. Regardless, this new lighting system is much better and a compromise I'm willing to make.

All in all, I think I speak for all of us when I say how grateful I am that this game is getting continued support. Please do keep it up :)
Along side having to turn on run each time, I have also noticed you can't turn off the cross hairs, even if the menu option is unchecked. Anyone else getting this problem?

Also, could the inclusion of a frame limiter be implemented? Now the frame rate is uncapped, I'm running at such a high FPS that my graphics card is squealing like a pig!

When defeating the final boss, I get huge frame rate dips (IN THE 5-15 ZONE) for some reason. I will check the other bosses if its the same with them.
Hey!

We're not done with improving the game. Everything you guys post is getting noticed and listed on our side. More patches and improvements are coming soon :)

Thank you,
really, really great game! Games like RDR2 and GoW are in line, waiting, till I'm done with this one. :)
Kudos to this small and really young team! I'm on my master in game development right now
and from the time where Doom, Hexen, Quake ect. were the big titles
and I can't stress enough what a great job you have done!
The soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in a while, really good and fitting!
And I love the axe, there aren't that many great melee weapons in shooters,
this one feels good to use, more of that please!

The three things I had trouble with: - the missing collider or death zone in the prologue, - the knife controls,
- a visual indicator of the axe cooldown are fixed, thank you guys!
A shame that so many had trouble with the lighting, that was some kind of distinquishing feature of this game,
but at least I can use the other spells now more often.

Some things you might already know:
- the lighting in an indutrial level is kind of awkward (armory I guess?)
often in games the character mesh carries a light source arround, so the proximity is
lightend, in this level, it's kind of the opposite and the proximity is dark while the rest is lightend.
- The sprint command is set back when entering a new level to the slow walk and the first time
the button has to be tapped twice. (A spint button where the sprint lasts as long as the button
is hold would be nice, you got the two states, so this is would not be a huge addition in the future.)
- in an earlier version, when the equipped weapon is empty the game changed to the axe, now to next
weapon in line where the ammo isn't 0, often (when I'm playing) this is the dynamite, that's sometimes
a little bit suicidal, the axe felt kind of the saver choice.

I can't wait to see more of you in the future! Go on, you're on the right track!

Awesome! Thank you for the quick update :) look forward to the next!
Great, just what I was waiting for! (mainly 1440p / 4K & difficulty changes). Thanks to you & your team.
The only way to get the update is with the Galaxy App? :(

Classic installers will probably be ready tomorrow or on Tuesday. The patch was just released too late on Friday. It was already closing time for the people at GOG then.
The SMG spread buff is really welcome, thanks.
I've tried the game with the latest update with a gamepad and here are my thoughts:

-There's no way to bind looking up or down actions to the controller.
-Navigating certain menus that have scroll bars won't scroll to make selected option visible.
-Can't back out of a menu with the 'B' button on the Xbox controller.
-Can't navigate any of the menus with the directional pad.
-Binding actions to Right Stick directions or dpad button display incorrectly,

Despite the issues I've mentioned here, I have to say that controller support has been massively improved. The game is almost perfectly playable with a controller (with lock y-axis on). Hopefully, the devs will be able to address my concerns as this is a pretty cool game.
Thank you! I'm so glad to see you guys patching the game!

Hey,

its all planned for the future! More updates on their way.

Hi,

I forgot to mention that the game save is now located under LocalLow/Buckshot Software/ProjectWarlock in your %APPDATA% directory. Registry only saves graphical settings now.

Jakub

Hi!

Thank your for your observations. I'll make sure to improve upon these points.
