Hey guys,

As some of you are aware, there have been many improvements to P1 on Steam and a few to P2 (with more to come). I get asked a lot about these updates, and if they will make it to GoG, and I can tell you they will.

In short, once we are done with the Steam updates, we'll strip out the Steam specific content and update the GoG builds, and in the case of P1 that should happen fairly soon as soon as Ryan is done porting whatever game he currently is to Linux.

The P1 update fixes most all the issues with the Windows build of P1 (spinning corpses, left turning issues) as well as switching to Hardware rendering so it now allows Steam, Raptrs ect overlays to work. With any luck we'll have controller support and widescreen by then too.

Sorry for the delays and thanks for the support!

Jon
Neat, thanks fellas.
What all is being updated in Postal 2?
great. a new update. thanks.
you mentioned what will be fixed with P1. what will be fixed/updated in Postal 2?
P2 will get a few things like better widescreen support, Achievements (we'll have them in game as well as for Steam, so GoG users can take advantage for it). Hopefully controller support too, we'll look at that right after the achievement updates rolls out.
when can we expect the updates to arrive?
Any word on the updates?

Hey, just saw an update about that: https://twitter.com/RWSPOSTAL/status/403969081545461760

Hoping we still see these come to GOG!
I just played through the GOG-version of Postal 2 for the first time and I noticed that it retains a bug from the retail version of "Share the Pain": The Apocalypse edition of the Paradise Times isn't displayed correctly. Here's how it's supposed to look like: http://static4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100916211024/postal/images/thumb/6/6e/PDFRISPEC.JPG/636px-PDFRISPEC.JPG

In this version of the game, however, while the "Good God..."-headline is displayed correctly, the rest of the paper looks like the regular Friday edition (with subheadlines such as "ATF standoff with cult compound continues").

Is there any chance that this glitch is fixed in the upcoming version of the game?

This is already sorted and will be in the update :)

We are launching the updates onto Steam on Friday the 13th, with the GoG and other DRM free versions coming in the new year. Sorry for the delay, we are a small team and figured it was silly to hold up the Steam release while we prepare the DRM free updates.

Thanks for the support everyone.

Any news on the Postal 1 and 2 updates for GOG?
Looking forward to these updates to these classic games... or should I say anxiously awaiting with anticipation. :) I think it's fantastic that these titles are getting updates and improvments and can't wait to play them from GOG.
I can't wait either! Has there been an update yet?
