lolbacon: Thanks a ton, but I'm having troubles extracting Ghostdog's UI tweak to my Gog folder. Attached is the error I'm getting. Running Win7 64, using winrar to extract to default gog folder. Not sure what the heck I'm doing wrong.

slqb12: you need to extract the contents of the file outside the gog folder and then move them into the folder.
No you don't. I just tried extracting directly to the folder and it worked and installed normally.

chautemoc: Could you also include this link: http://www.bootstrike.com/Torment/files.html ?

Slightly newer version of the widescreen mod + tons of other optional content.
Added it into OP.
Though original guide also has link to official site of widescreen mod, so it is recommended to download it from there, to ensure the latest version.

As for extracting stuff - I always extract every rar file to its own folder, and than cut and paste it into Torment folder. Never had a problem.

Glad you all like the post!

Oops! Yeah scratch that -- the direct link is for 2.5, the newer version is 2.51, and the newest (here) is 2.6. Perhaps make a note users should download from the official site, not the version direct linked.
Oh god thank you for the info! I can't wait to get this and play for real. :D

I don't usually use my full res for these kinds of games, even with a mod. It tends to zoom out too much.

For 16:10 I tend to use 1280x800.
Paul, you're amazing. Everyone, what size fonts do you usually end up with? I think I'm going to try 80% first.

I think it depends on the native res of the game...the ones you're used to were probably designed for 640x480 so don't scale well beyond 1280x800. Planescape looks pretty sweet in 1680x1050 for me. I guess it is down to preference too, though.

20% is perfect on 1680x1050 for me.

It is a bit too small in 1920*1200 on 24", but..gog it is so beautiful.

I use 120%, was curious how it is, and it is perfect, like the screens show.

But when I played the game year ago for the first time, I used 1280*800 with default fonts and it was ok too, although today I would not play it like that (bigger fonts is a huge plus).
Paul, thank you for putting this guide together. A gods send. :)
Indeed, thank you for this useful list. +1

Easter Egg Morte... now I saw everything XD
