Now, GOG version already has steps 1a, 1b and 2 done (incl. all ini tweaks).

So, install the game, then language pack (if you wish) and go to step 3.

NOTE 1 - make sure to start new game. Some mods might not be compatible with earlier savegames, and changing mods midgame is generally not recommended.

NOTE 2 - widescreen mod latest version is 2.6, not 2.5 - obtain it here:

and the experience is complete.

It might seem complex, but it is not - took me less than 10 minutes to do it, including the installation.

Addition thanks to Adokat's information: If your character seems to moonwalk (running backwards) go to Display options ingame and turn on "Software Mirroring". It fixes the problem perfectly.

The only issue I have is crashing on exit - nothing important, just annoying. PST seems to want older version of ntdll.dll than what is contained in Win7 64.

Haha, I was about to link to that very website when I saw that you'd done it already. To all those on the fence about installing mods: these mods don't impact the vanilla experience. Most of what they do is correct bugs, improve the interface, and re-implement quests that were made by the developers but needed some coding to get working in the game.

The widescreen mod basically requires that you install the the Ghostedog UI mod, too. I highly recommend it. The game looks fantastic-you can navigate the twisted streets easier and get a great sense of the scope of the design and artwork that went into PS:T. Without the mod, the game looks muddy and is difficult to navigate.

I'll be creating a separate topic dealing with graphical issues/bugs.

Thanks a ton, but I'm having troubles extracting Ghostdog's UI tweak to my Gog folder. Attached is the error I'm getting. Running Win7 64, using winrar to extract to default gog folder. Not sure what the heck I'm doing wrong.

Edit: I tried creating a folder on the desktop & extracting to there, then moving the contents to the PST folder. Seems to have worked.

Double Edit: Had a problem with the setup, seems running as admin solved that issue.

you need to extract the contents of the file outside the gog folder and then move them into the folder.
