Support pointed me toward https://steamcommunity.com/app/640820/discussions/5/ but nothing really helps here

I've tried with the standalone installer, and the behaviour is the same. As I have bootcamp I'm going to try in Win10 and see what happens.
Could someone else with a mac verify this?

Please open the Applications folder, open the Terminal.app type in:
sudo open
that is "sudo open " without the quotes, make sure that there is a space after the command and before adding the path.
Do not press Enter, drag the game's app from the Applications folder to the terminal, this should add the correct path, press Enter now, you should receive a prompt to enter your password.

Worked for me twice so far. Still get an Application Specific Information:
-[_MTLCommandEncoder dealloc]:72: failed assertion `Command encoder released without endEncoding' when exiting.
There has been a hotfix. I was able to change the textures to low wothout the game crashing.

But has the loading screen issue been dealt with?

I had no loading screen issue prior to the hotfix. Sorry, so I don't know. Anyone?
Seem to load now, and there is a warning that it'll be slow when first started. Can anyone else verify?

Mine’s working at the moment.
Only odd thing is that it crashes on exit

bozbar: Something is seriously broken here.
Starting the game more often than not crashes the game. Sometimes alt-tabbing back and forth helps to start it.
Changing graphical settings also most of the times crashes the game, if it does not, the settings are reset to the "High"-default the next time the game is started.

What I observed is: Whenever I start the game a process called tccd starts claiming cpu-power, which is odd, as the TCC.Framework "manages the privacy database, which stores decisions the user has made about whether apps may access personal data."

I'm running (more or less...) the game on a MacBookPro late 2016.
There is a pop up asking if you want to send analytics to the developers - which I think displays before or after the character creation. It's possibly that.

Does it save the graphics settings?

Guess I'll find out in five hours - not sure why I have to download the entire thing again to apply a hotfix ;)

EDIT: well the answer is NO. No idea what it has fixed.

It's not just the graphics settings. Some other settings are not persisted between games, such as HP as numbers.
