I'm not so sure about them dropping sci-fi in the new game. I mean the devs have said they are huge fans of the series and keep stressing how much this is a continuation of the older games. Plus the name of the game is "Legacy" and Sheltem appears in the trailer, and it even says on the M&M website that he is a ROBOT.

Has anyone seen any news for the upcoming game? For a game that's due to be released in September, any news or updates seem to be non-existant.

Bah, 25 hours is barely enough for character creation in any serious RPG! >:|

Well some time has passed since the announcement but I couldn't find out for which platforms this game will come out. Is it a PC exclusive? Does somebody know that already? I haven't found informations about that fact.

As far as I know, MMX will be Windows-PC-only.
If it is successful, ports for mac & linux may be possible, I suppose.

some questions over to Ubisoft and had them answered collectively by Stephan Winter, CEO of Limbic (the company that develops the game for Ubisoft), Julien Pirou (Writer & Designer), and Gary Paulini (Producer).
No, there will not be "always-online" copy protection! Buy, download, play, that’s it.
However, implementing Uplay is a Ubisoft corporate policy and Might & Magic X - Legacy will not be different from any other Ubisoft title. So yes, Uplay will be in and you’ll need to be online for ONE time activation.
As the game will be based on Uplay, the chances of it being available on GoG are fairly slim, as their policy is no DRM at all (if we’re wrong and GoG is happy to distribute the game, please contact us! : ) ):(

No, it has nothing to do with the installation. You have to register the game on Uplay. So it will be bound to your account there.
