Thank you so much for these fixes, I'm another who has had a long term love affair with the master of X games and these are quite awesome.

I have a series of tiny bugs related to the cities screen: (from my 1.4ll savegame, although they still seem to apply when it is opened in 1.4m) I attached it as save2.gam.jpg.
1 - When you have a lot of cities, scrolling down is weird, the first click on the down arrow button moves down 5 cities, and after that it moves down one at a time for the next 5 cities.
2 - Clicking the last city in the list causes it to jump to the city which would be last after hitting the down arrow button once. (If you have not scrolled, or only down, after you scroll up it gets harder to predict)
3 - After you modify a city, it dumps you back to the main screen, not the city list (ideally at the same location you were last)

And finally, a raw, unabashed feature request... when we have surplus food it can be hard to easily see which cities are producing excess food, especially as the info does not show up on mouseover, and clickthrough drops the cities screen and location in the list.

A little info could be shoe-horned at the bottom of the screen, and if you ditched the redundant left hand scroll column, you could add a column or two.

It would be ideal if a symbol would show up on the left of the city name if there was unrest, or if it has voluntary farmers which are increasing it's turns to produce (So you know where to go to reclaim workers when you find excess food elsewhere).

Would it be possible to add some disable/enable of options, like Spell of Mastery, Heroes, Summons, for a different game? Especially the Spell of Mastery, as I dislike it on the principle that it renders all other strategy obselete, which might be fun sometimes, but not all the time.
Oddity - I loaded 1.40m and lost the custom wizard option. Was that deliberate or did I do something wrong?

Custom wizard option is not available on easy difficulty and it hasn't changed from vanilla version.

Quite correct - thanks, my error!
Bug report: with Insecticide patch, the only artifacts I can find in dungeons etc are garbage artifacts. In about 20 games, I haven't seen anything that wasn't +1 / +1 +1 or something similar.
I played a game on hard difficulty and my enemy has Heuron the Chosen right from the beginning in his capital. He started just a bit north of me, so i scouted his capital after ca. 12-15 turns. I don't even have a chance against him before endgame, this is ridiculous.
Anyone able to find another way to get the patch? RB seems to be down on everything but the main page.

*EDIT*
Just googled the latest patch. Found it elsewhere.

Do you have a link, Timmy? I've just found a bunch of links back to RB, which is still down.

Much obliged.
Is it advisable for a "beginner" to use this patch or should I play the vanilla version first?
I played other 4x games, but MOM is new for me.
Go for it. It's not too difficult; I played my first game on Normal and won without too much trouble.

Just remember to start off with a Granary, Marketplace, and Farmer's Market in your first town. Other towns should go with a Builder's Hall, Granary, Smithy, Marketplace, and then Farmer's Market. Keep your taxes at 1.5 or 2.0 until you know what you're doing, and use Spearmen to control unrest.

Even with the improvements the AI is still quite stupid. You should be fine.
Did they do something screwy with starting city locations in this patch? I've tried to start High Men about 8 times now, and every single time I fail to get the absolute minimum requirements I will accept for starting with a high tech race. I'm not outlandishly demanding, but I do require at least one forest to enable sawmills and foresters' guild, at least one hill or mountain to enable miners' guild and mechanicians' guild, and access to a cost to enable ship yards and (more important) merchants' guild. Combined with a base max population of 10 or higher.

This has never been a problem in any previous patch of MoM. The starting positions I'm getting now, though, are unplayable enough that I'm just tempted to revert the patch. WTF did they do? Or am I just getting a string of truly awful luck?
