Hi folks.
I hope you can help me with this subject.
At the time when these games were released I was about 11 years old, My friend got PS around 2000 and we played these awesome games of course. We also had a bit different, but awesome Warzone 2100 which is available on Desura and Populous The Beginning.
A bit later he had his first PC and I played a lot of Starcraft and Empire Earth I and II.
When I finally managed to get my first PC like 8 years ago I wanted to catch up with all the games I was behind. Especially old school RTS.
I played Warcraft and C&C.
I looked through GOG. com to find some pretty cool RTS and I found some. But could you guide me and direct me to find what I want?
- building and setting up the base. Reasearching buildings and units.
- collecting resources in simillar fashion (might be more than one or two)
- don't mind old look, but no older than 1995.
- please don't suggest any new games like Dawn Of War or AoE III, because they're different.

I would be more happy with KKnD/Starcraft/C&C style than Empire Earth/AoE. Definitely not happy with current RTSs because it's more like running a team, not the whole base/army.
Hope you can help.
Cheers
Hmm, have a look at these games ;)

Hi.
Thanks so much.
Perimeter seems good but I have to check YT for gameplay if it's what I want.
Supreme Commander seems totally cool.:)
Thanks so much for Original War, because it looks so close to KKnD, especially with artworks and I've never heard of that game.
I wasn't so keen on this SW EaW, maybe I'll give it a second chance then.
Anything more like Original War, Earth 2150?
Cheers

Hi. Thanks for that as well.
Dune doesn't appeal so much visually but maybe it's worth to try.
Metal fatigue seems a bit too minimalistic.
Star wars a bitm old graphics but seems nice.
Army men reminds me of great Warzone 2100 so I will definitely try this one out!
SunAge looks incredibly cool!!!!!:) I love this kind of Sci-fi theme!
The same Universe at war.
Dark colony is a great clone of KKnD. It's extremely appealing:)
Genewars a bit too old and minimalistic.

So only Universe at war is available in Nuuvem. Where I could possibly buy any of the other games?
Only used copies on Amazon or Ebay? Nothing on Desura? Any chance these games will be released on GOG?

Thanks again guys. Let's leave it for now and allow me to try them out.
I'll write back as soon as I will play them or need more.
If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.

Edit:
I just noticed first 3 games.
Maelstorm looks fantastic!!!:)
Dark Reign 2 reminds Warzone 2100!:) and I've seen that myself in the past.
I'll try them too for sure;)
Already on my whislist!:)
Cheers:)

If you want them on GOG, vote for them in Community Wishlist ;)

too lazy to post a wishlist for each game, so type the name of the game in search field and then click on +vote (area where the numbers of votes are shown)

Hi.
Thanks for reminding me.
I completely forgot about it.
I already voted for them all!!!:)
Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of voices:(
Are these games getting released after such voting here?
That would be cool, because I found plenty other school-time games there too;)

I went and threw some votes down and games you seemed interested in and I hope GOG gets them for you and the rest of the community. Dark Colony looks awesome and I'd never heard of that one, so I'm crossing my fingers with you. I don't personally have anything new to add to the list other than you might take a look at Grey Goo. It's newer which you stated you weren't really looking for, but it's definitely a good throwback RTS and a lot of fun. Also, before I go, I must second TA: Commander pack. It's the best RTS of all time in this humble users opinion. Good luck, and keep that stronghold secure!
