Welcome to GOG GALAXY 2.0 closed beta forum thread! If you’re here, it probably means you’re already part of the beta or are waiting for your access – please be patient as we’re sending invites on a first come first served basis. And if you’re not signed up yet, you can still do it here.
We’re starting this thread to have a place to discuss with you your ideas and feedback about GOG GALAXY 2.0 – tell us what you like or dislike about the app, what features we are missing, which platform integrations you’d like to see, and share any other feedback regarding the app. Also, drop your questions about GOG GALAXY 2.0 and we’ll try to answer them if we can :)
We’ve been testing GOG GALAXY 2.0 for some time already in our internal and alpha tests and gathered feedback, so some of the topics you want to discuss might already be addressed by us – please check the list of known issues that we’re aware of and we’re working on.

I hate the look of the big icons.
When I move anything the app keeps lagging and skipping.

GoG please fix this quickly or revert to the previous version.

Never updating GoG Galaxy again.
I'm sorry that you too have problems after the update, but I hope Galaxy keeps improving over time with more updates; also this is a beta update, hopefully GOG will fix the problems addressed here.

anyone else get flickering and artifacts when using gsync??? even when gsync is on fullscreen only it still occurs. only fix is disabling gsync entirely. just curious if anyone had this occur after the last galaxy update 2.1.3. their new web engine seems to hate gsync.

yep, this has been a recurrent issue since the closed beta, and now that it's open to the public is still there :(

pippo-san: yep, this has been a recurrent issue since the closed beta, and now that it's open to the public is still there :(
i did find a fix for the artifacts buts it's only a workaround. you have to disable hardware acceleration via the launcher config ffiles in program data and local data gog.com folder. only works in maximized window mode however. also artifacts from being a chromium web engine also occur if gsync is off.

my question is who the hell okayed such a broken release????

another bug i have discovered is the back button no longer functions beyond the store pages. so if you open a local game tab for one of your installed games and then select viewstore page it takes you there but the back button at the top of the page can no longer bring you back to your local game tab like it used too.

and then another i discovered for a bonus round is that the interface settings for what the launcher does when you close it or launch a game no longer work at all. if you set minimize to tray or taskbar when a game is launched it will no longer function..

who okayed this release??? all this for a web engine change and dropping 32bit os support. this launcher is now buggier than ea app and epic launcher.

LoadLibrary failed with error 126: The specified module could not be found.

At first(BEFORE I updated) it would fail upon update but launch anyways, NOW (After I updated manually) it fails to load at all. How to roll back to old version?


Must add that pc is new build (a few weeks at most) and has all recent windows and gpu drivers installed already.

Last update ran through without troubles, instead of that before, BUT the progress bar didn't really finished. It broke up early without a message and then presented the update news. Cool but not great behaviour.

I don't know what's going on. I have version 2.1.6.29 installed, but when I go to my order history, I get a message at the bottom saying the app isn't up to date and I have to update it manually by visiting GOG. If I check for updates, the app says there aren't any.

Same here. I also get the "you're offline" message. It's completely borked.

I don't know if this is the right place to post, but I updated the Galaxy client to 2.1.7 today, and tried to buy Cuphead (it had an offer so I couldn't resist). I chose paypal and checked to save this payment method. The paypal window opened, put the password and the code they send to the phone... and then the window starts to load endlessly, never progressed to the next part of the payment. Gave me a huge scare, I thought Paypal would ban me or something. I just closed it and bought the game through my web browser, where it went flawlessly.

So it seems the paypal payments are still broken on GOG Galaxy.

EDIT: Heh, I just changed my avatar on GOG, but here in the forums is not showing it (It shows fine on the store and Galaxy). Weird.
EDIT2: Now my avatar finally appears. It seems it takes a while for it to appear here when you change it.
