Battle Worlds: Kronos, Ether One, Blazblue Calamity Trigger, and more Indietastic titles up to 80% off!

You know GOG.com has a lot of affection for the indie scene and for plenty of reasons. Some devs take on risks that none of the big AAA powerhouses would dare to consider, introducing original, untried concepts into their games. Others look to the past to re-create the feel and mood of the finest titles in the history of gaming, the ones that still give gamers a warm and fuzzy feeling, while adding their personal touch to create something fresh. To give you a sample of what we consider Indietastic this weekend we have a selection of 31 games on sale. Let's take a look at some of those titles:

, a one-of-a-kind shooter, is a psychadelic trip at warp speed and straight into the audio-visual nirvana. [url=http://www.gog.com/game/battle_worlds_kronos]Battle Worlds: Kronos, a classic turn-based strategy game looks to the classics liek Battle Isle, Advance Wars and Panzer General. If you ever wondered how those games would feel like in a modern incarnation this title will answer all your questions. Ether One: Deluxe Edition on the other hand is a fresh take on first-person perspective adventuring that, rather than taking you on a trip around the world, deals with the fragility of the human mind.

That's just a taste of what's in store for you in our weekend promo! Head over to the promo page and see for yourself! The offer lasts until Tuesday, September 16, at 3:59 AM GMT!
I've been interested in Battle Worlds: Kronos but hesitant as I wasn't sure how well it would run on my laptop. After checking out the game's subforum, I saw a demo was available. It turns out the game is quite playable. There is some slowdown, but I can live with it. And apparently the developer improved Mac performance in one of the updates, so I'm guessing the full game will play even better. Time to buy!

JudasIscariot: As I've stated before, we're working to get all the Linux versions of games possible but it takes time :)
No pressure :D

HypersomniacLive: We know, and we thank you - we just like to complain and whine, don't you know it by now? ;-P
I actually don't like to complain. However I have found that complaining is quite easy when dealing with GOG's new website. There are so many things to dislike about it.

Oh jalister, you're really inconsolable. I take you read the latest update from GOG regarding the changes, looks like there's no chance they'll address some of the things we dislike about it, and there's nth we can do about it. :(
Guys, which game in this deal would be considered the best deal for promotional purposes?

Perhaps Battle Worlds Kronos, is the best discount I've seen yet for it on GoG thus far,
and LA Mulana?

I've been tempted to get Pixeljunk Monsters HD, it seems a nice curiosity buy, and at 1.59... I would have picked this up if it wasn't for the "add to cart issues I was having yesterday. Still might get it today... heh

Thanks, I posted Pixeljunk Monsters as the headliner, since it's the lowest price of the bunch.

I would like to say I'll stop spending money here, but that would be a lie. I do like my DRM free games. However, due to this 'glorious' new site, I managed to miss day 6 of the birthday sale. I would have purchased 4 of the more expensive games on that promo. I feel that may not be the last promo I miss, I've already lost hope in this slower, cumbersome site, and have already broken my daily check of the home page a few times now.

Also, I generally checked the home page on my phone every morning, but I find this new mobile friendly site falls way short of anything friendly and usable on my mobile. It's just to slow for me to care about now.

Sorry to hear it's giving you so much headache on your phone. That's pretty surprising and rather inexplicable given that it's supposed to prioritise mobile devices over desktop systems (without all the community made styles and scripts, it would have been almost impossible for me to keep visiting).

Have you contact GOG Support detailing the issues you have browsing the site on your phone?

Support actually contacted me. Performance has gotten better, but the layout just doesn't work for me on a phone. The layout is bad, the headlines are way at the bottom, and the page is a mix of swiping up and down and left and right without any clear indication when swiping left and right is an option.

Is there a good place to find these community made styles and scripts? (It's sad when you need others to make your own site better)
